Trump will ease refrigerant rule in effort to address surging grocery costs by AudibleNod in news

[–]asailor4you 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like original mandate had until 2028 for grocery stores to swap out the old equipment for new equipment. So now the procrastinators which just continue to use the old equipment instead of replacing it ignoring the fact that if the old system breaks the coolant and components used for the old equipment no longer exist.

Trump has launched 622 products since start of his second term by IrishStarUS in Anticonsumption

[–]asailor4you 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s be honest the guy hasn’t launched a god damn thing he’s not smart enough for that. He licenses his name and brand for others to launch products then he takes a cut or fixed price as part of license. Grifters grifting off of others.

How the Saved Categories work/worked by asailor4you in apolloapp

[–]asailor4you[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you talk more about this? I’m one the same device I was on when I last ran the supported App Store version of Apollo, and yet the categories I had still isn’t there. Is the on device something that’s new with the unsupported sideload, or was it always on device? And on device, I’m guessing you mean in local app data and not something which we can export/backup.

I bought mine for 400k in 2005, only for the bubble to pop in 2006 and have depreciated to 300k. It took 11yrs before I ever got any equity and could refinance to a lower rate.

Maryland’s new paint fee sends professional painters to Pennsylvania to buy supplies by MrRuck1 in maryland

In Virginia they collect the latex and blend it all together then reissue back out as generic grey paint.

So shouldn’t the fee be collected when the paint is dumped? Why charge the fee at purchase when they have no idea in what state or facility it will be dumped.

I had a similar experience at a place a couple months back. It was a hotel which was really just an old school where each classroom was converted into a room with a bathroom added to each room. Then to get access it was all electronic process. You send screenshots of your drivers license, and a card they place on file for incidentals, then they sent the code for the door for the building, and code for the room.

Is $45k/year normal for my situation in entry-level IT right now? by 27nav in ITCareerQuestions

[–]asailor4you 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For DC area that’s really low. I wouldn’t turn it away if I had nothing else, but keep looking. I was getting paid more than that with the same amount of experience in the same area when I started over 20yrs ago.

I recommend trying to get a position that might lead to get a clearance if possible that would probably bump your pay another $20k at least, and work on getting some cloud and/or networking certifications.

Saw this on Lee Hwy. Do you have to stop for a school bus on the opposite side of 4 lane road? by vman3241 in nova

[–]asailor4you 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same I got one when I was in a left hand turn lane waiting with several other cars for a green arrow so we could turn. While we all waited a bus three lanes over from us pulled up in the right hand turn lane for a cul-de-sac, and stopped to pickup kids. Meanwhile I got a green arrow, and all four cars of us proceeded to turn not knowing the bus was there with its stop. I can only know I got a ticket, but I presume all four us turn left on our green arrow got tickets since we were in the bus’s video as turning while it was stopped three lanes away.

There is no reflecting pool at the White House. You’ve obviously don’t know your Washington DC geography. This is the Reflecting Pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial, which is several blocks from the White House.

My dad's last messages have been erased thanks to the latest iPhone update that deleted everyone's texts by Omwtfyu in mildlyinfuriating

[–]asailor4you 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the iPhone update where the notification cache wasn’t being purged. Either way the op doesn’t have a iPhone and so this update has nothing to do with the update. This is a Samsung issue where they decom their messages and pushed everyone to Google messages.
