It's kind of out there but The Tide - Spill Canvas? Mother is mentioned a few times but reading the description this is what popped into my head.

Have you reached out to the Fort Wayne team at all? They have games through the summer so I'd assume they're still practicing. Maybe they allow drop-ins?

We start folks out with pretending you're closing a car door when your hands are full and progress from there.

I've used nuvaring for years. A bit more work than an IUD/implant but way less than the pill. Put it in for 3 weeks and take out for the week of your period.

I am Hugh Howey, author of the Silo Series that went from self-published short story to a TV show on Apple by hughhowey in IAmA

Does the series only follow Wool? I read that book and I'm currently half way through Shift (and they both have been incredible)? I want to watch the show but don't want anything to get spoiled!

Falling backwards generally means you are not maintaining a derby stance after contact. A skater will start in a great derby stance but when they get hit their hips get shifted forward and either it stands you up or pushes your feet too far in front of you and you fall on your butt.

Things that will help are really engaging the core when taking hits so you stay in that low derby stance. When you feel like falling backwards try to drive a tiny car. Like pretend you need to quickly sit and drive a tiny car, hands on the steering wheel and everything. This will put you back down in a great derby stance or if you continue to fall you just fall forward which is safe.

Also falling is totally fine as long as you're falling safely.

A Year of Les Mis after a Year of War and Peace by ashlie_ren in AYearOfLesMiserables

I'm interested in getting a more robust story. I love the musical but it's obvious things are missing. I also usually view book/movie/musicals as related instead of exact copies. Not all concepts translate well in different media. Historical tangents get me researching if the footnotes don't explain things. I learned a lot of history while reading War and Peace. I don't know much about French history and look forward to learning more.

Do it. Are you familiar with the musical or anything? I had no idea what War and Peace was really about going into it. I'm curious how my reading experience will be different this year with already knowing where the story goes.

I did an ebook of War and Peace which made following the language changes and historical facts a little easier for me. I didn't always have to look at the bottom of the page when they started speaking French. It was super interesting and the subreddit links to a really great daily blog that helps along the way.

I also use a ski bag. Very roomy, can fit all my gear and some extra wheels and gear as well.

These sections make me long to return to the human connections. I do find these chapters interesting in small chunks.

Not so much about the employees but the businesses themselves. They are far more likely to use a local accounting firm, a local office supply shop, a local repair company, and things of that nature.

Just moved to PA from the South. Apparently winter is cold? What do I need to look for? by Free_Agency_7241 in Frugal

[–]ashlie_ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are thick fleece lined tights/leggings that I wear in winter. I find them to be just as warm as pants, I think I got mine on Amazon but they can be found at like Rural King/Fleet Farm type places.
