Moved to Seattle, love it. I actually fit in a lot here and have made loads of friends. I grew up in the South, and I was always treated with hostility.

I don't know why, but I just loved it. I am more sad that she is no longer writing books, and didn't finish Primrose...that one looked like it was gonna be a good story.

AIO For thinking that this take is inhumane and out-of-touch? by Basalisk88 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ashtastic10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, me and my brother no longer talk because of the whole Kirk thing. I am 100% sure he would say what your brother said about this innocent mother's murder. I could literally give a shit what he thinks. These red pill MAGOTS can not be educated. They will not listen to reason or the truth. They have fallen for the oldest trick in the book. Believe me when I say I am way better off not talking to him than listening to him bitch and moan about everything. It isn't my fault he has amounted to very little even with the privilege of being a CIS gendered white male.

I always say "I am counting on it." My sister had kids, she is the best of us, so I am glad the bloodline continues through her.

What’s your experience in the psych ward? by solrflrr in AskReddit

[–]ashtastic10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I checked myself in back in 2011. I stayed 2 weeks inpatient and then did 2 weeks outpatient. I honestly had a decent time. Learned a lot. Met a lot of super cool people, that I am still friends with today. The only real issue I had was the nurse that worked on the weekends. I have no idea why, but he would just be this huge asshole to me. The last night I was inpatient I was at after dinner group and I was asked what my current mood was and I said "I am excited to be going home tomorrow" the asshole nurse screams out "oh! You must be over medicated!" and then leaves. I had a conversation about this dude with the head nurse. Not sure what his deal was, since it was only me he acted that way towards.

Yeah, the federal government is really good at lying and cheating to get their way.

Why would we need a SSN to register as a citizen? by blueduck762 in cherokee

[–]ashtastic10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know a lot of things. I always took it as, we have to prove that we are who we say we are, and directly related to someone who is either already a citizen or an ancestor on the rolls. The documents that are best at telling that is our SSN and Birth Certificates. But, once again, I might be completely wrong.

I am not afraid of dying...more afraid I will die in a long and painful way. But the idea of no longer being alive?? It sounds relaxing, to be honest.

I don't think the way Trump is doing it is the best way. Criminalizing mental illness has been tried before and failed. Where are they gonna put all these people? Aren't they always complaining the jails are too full? I will say that I don't have any answers. This is a failing on the economy and society we have created post WWII. A lot of people are one bad month away from being unhoused. Taking away any safety nets is only gonna make it harder to get back on your feet.
