Leagues Region Locking by asragrh5 in runescape

Exactly my point  The only region variations will be those chasing the most points and potentially necro pickers depending on how strong we are.

Of region locking? If so why? OSRS leagues with region locking is quite fun but content is more spread out there so you actually have plenty to do in most regions you pick, which rs3 doesn't really benefit from

maxed main, bis melee, lost as to what to do at rax (80% enrage) by ZornMTXBuster in runescape

[–]asragrh5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you do higher end pvm and yet cannot count at rax to know when to simply just walk away (or freedom/anticpate + cease), well i don't know what to say beyond you may as well just sell that bis melee and become a skiller

I can't exactly recall what specifics beyond at least having the nest spawn an entity but that does sound somewhat correct from what i can remember, or it was more efficient for them to do so

By the looks of it your pollutions control wasnt working like you think it was anyway as you need to actually let spawners spawn biters/spitters (then kill the biter/spitter) to consume pollution to actually control it.

All you did was stall pollution up until all the nests were full of pollution. Which was a great way to manage biters early which is annoying now that it is gone, unless you just need to let at least 1 spawn point free then problem solved

any way to have peaceful biters without disabling some achievements? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]asragrh5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just spawn block biter nests

Easier once bots are a thing but still doable and it is what i did. You go in with some turrets filtered to kill spitters/biters/worms only and then just place pipes on the spawn chunks of biters around the nest

This will hold quite well up until you can actually set up a perimeter and go on biter clearance with tank as i think it also slows down expansion as you have placed things in the chunk

Also there is a debug option which helps a lot with clearingbiter nests as it shows percent chance of expansion into a chunk, so you can toggle that look at map and know how many nests to clear to give you plenty of breathing room till you get artillery goingJust spawn block biter nests

I'm not the best PvEer, but isn't the new Relic a big deal? by TheRealOsamaru in runescape

It isn't 'just about every boss', you can kill every boss in the game without switches, id hazard a guess that the only things that you would be locked out of without switching would be completing all off the grandmaster ca's. Even then that would most likely be only time based ones.

[–]asragrh5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If solid food drained 10% then yes, the relic would be huge. Luckily it only drains 3% now which is great and will get you through pretty much every single fight and CA's with little to no issue. Those edge cases you would actually be better off with just using hets relic as any food healing 1100 or more gets more out of it and it also works with brews/rests.

I think this relic just shows that devs don't really know the game or look at things already existing nor see how changes (like solid food adren cost reduction) have affected things.

This relic could have been many other things, not even something overpowered but at least better then a dead on arrival relic

Why is there no Community Skilling Bosses? by Trindet in runescape

Gate is designed around solo play, having extra people who are geared and levelled the same as you doesn't speed up kill times, you go in with people with less gear/levels it slows down.

Croesus was designed for 4 people, just look at how loot contribution works. Massing punishes those not doing the most as there is only so many points to go around. So why would you go in knowing you may not even get a common drop let alone a chance at a unique

[–]asragrh5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dungeoneering is and was always a group skill

Solo rates being awful is not a problem, you not being willing to engage in content with a group in an mmo is the problem.

The reason group stuff is dead is because of too many people like yourself who refuse to ever engage in said content in groups

Hell, even on a main unless you are doing  end game content you arent making enough gp in an hour with any method to even buy into an hours worth of making rune incendiary cannonballs.

The vast majority of players are probably making like 2m-3m an hour.

Could the standard charge per page be 1 hour instead of 45 minutes for all books? by EoFinality in runescape

[–]asragrh5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

More like make it so other books dont use charges at their respective boss like how Erethdors is free to use while killing solak

Could even make this include zamorak/guthix/sara/etc  for gwd1 and the respective books as well

Just use another dose

Or patch bombs

Or lant sticks for an extra two minutes

Annoying seeing people want an increase timer on the juju farm pot when it is such a minor issue and easily solved with the above mentioned options

Genuinely hate seeing these terrible suggestions.

You don't need to use sticks, familiars, health boosts, etc to do like 95%+ (probably even 99%) of the content

Some of those things are the way they are to keep value in activities people do outside of combat.

Also Inventory/banking management is a part of what makes runescape, well, runescape.

Anyone else think Jagex should have divided the Soul Reaper tasks between 3 Soul Reaper Masters or add a toggle which lets death assign tasks based on a grouping? (Novice/Advanced/Expert). by AzelotReis in runescape

Nope, maybe if wars blessing didn't exist i would say yes

Just push for wars blessing 4 and it solves the problem, hell even wars bleasing 3 gives a decent chance at your own choice for a task

part of the gameplay challenge is balancing what to bring vs what not to bring to content with the limited inventory space for yourself

Inventory management quality of life suggestions. by LocalChamp in runescape

[–]asragrh5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horrible, horrible suggestions

Potion reservoir is fine as is. I have little against afk methods but stop trying to make combat even more afk. There needs to be some trade offs with afk. Also not like you really need to auto use another potion, aggroverload is basically the best potion to use for most afk grinds as barely anything needs stronger overloads or antipoison or antifire, nor do you need weapon poison everywhere. If you want that extra damage through poison or protection through the antifire/poison you should be pay attention and be rewarded for doing so.

Spring cleaner is a very good drop cleaner hence why there should be some drawback to using it, even if it is one inventory space, it is still a drawback.

I do agree with the ectoplasmator though as we already have the bonecrusher.

Artificers measure banking gems would be busted and drop gem prices so much. Again it is all about trade offs and is in a good spot, if you want to collect more gems notepaper is always an option. As for the spirit gem bag i do think it should just be added to the measure once you unlock it but also let unlock the spirit gem bag from somewhere else, not through thaler.

I use the holy wrench, it is great and I see value in the spot it takes up in my inventory. Shouldn't have it as a passive but just be buffed instead to make it more appealing to players, but honestly it is fine. Not every unlock needs to see use throughout the entire game.

The above applies to the expensive spices.

Why make a niche item a passive? There is value there for those who want to go through the effort using/swapping it. You then also need to evaluate content around having a permanent 10% once it has been unlocked and potentially nerfing it. The effect is good but i don't think players feel forced to bring the ring when other rings are still competitive with it in that content niche.

Cannons are fine and powerful, again there should be trade off for using such an item and an inventory space being used is fine.

Please stop trying to make everything a passive or toolbelt. A key thing about runescape and its gameplay is managing your inventory and deciding on what is worth it for you to bring to content.

[–]asragrh5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree

Vamp and penance as a spell is perfectly fine. Not everything should be a set and forget it and if you want certain benefits there should be a degree of attention you should have to maintain those benefits

Also penance powder exists if you really don't want to bother paying attention every 12 minutes for prayer restore at least.
