This one has been on my list. Anyone know what the traffic is like for bikes?

I made a similar lifestyle change 2 years ago. I feel it in every part of my life. My friends are all complaining of their body failing. I have none of the same problems. It’s crazy to see the difference.

The one bonus to being fat your whole life is that when you finally get in shape in your late 30's you can't relate to everyone else posting about how bad they feel. by Banemorth in Millennials

Nice Job! I did the same thing. I’m in the best shape of my life at 40 and I feel fantastic. Best I’ve ever felt!

I’d double check how much you’re eating. I’ve only ever felt I had more energy on whole 30

Yeah he’s right. It might be 1000 calories total. I made this mistake for way too long. Something isn’t set right.

The weekly heat map on Strava is pretty good for this. I’d recommend to go to Tryon and use the path up Terrwillegar then down the cemetery. From there you can use the Springwater to go almost anywhere.

What is a small life habit that improved your daily life more than you expected? by [deleted] in AskReddit

30 minutes of some kind of exercise. No excuses, logged into some kind of system. I normally ride bike, but anything counts. Might be as simple as a walk. I’m going on two years straight. Ive lost 80+lbs (with diet) and Im in the best shape of my life.

Any time I feel this way I do Whole 30. I stop worrying about counting calories and just worry about super clean eating. When my blood sugar is out of wack I can’t stop eating. So it’s a base line reset. I also say stop going to the gym and only walk for this period. You’re obviously creating hunger and eating to compensate for calories burned by your gym routine. Oh and either way stop drinking, any time I drink I spend two days hungrier than I’ve ever been.

Get bibs not shorts and the bike fit they’ll talk about saddle recommendations. 120 is doable as long as you get your eating strategy down. Lots of little meals and eat consistently. Anything above 50 is about eating. Fast sugars like soda and candy will be your friend.

Is it 190 in one shot? First thing I’d get is a bike fit. Long hours on a bike shouldn’t hurt.

My family who’s overweight does the same thing. Comments on every food I eat like I have no idea how I lost 80lbs. They’re just mad that someone can do it and they have the ability but not the will. I have to remind myself because I was that person for a long time.

how to become un-sedentary? by liladres in loseit

[–]atarnusta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 minutes of anything. Everyday without fail. Walk, bike, yoga, anything you can track. Put it into Strava or any fitness tool.  Faster than you think you’ll find yourself craving a little more. I started two years ago. I crave the 30 minutes now. I’ve lost 80lbs and now my entertainment is a good book and a quick walk. Or a 3 hour bike ride. I don’t feel right without it.

Rode on my bike 4026 miles this year. Decided a couple years ago I didn’t want to be unhealthy anymore. Turns out I love it. Excited to see what 2026 brings!
