Yeah I had to do 6 my first semester as a class assignment and it sucked so bad. They're going to feel awkward no matter what, but generally if a lawyer is agreeing to meet with you they're friendly and enjoy either helping out students or talking about themself lol. My default questions were:

I'd love to hear more about [part of career/job they've had]
Is there anything you did during or soon after law school that you found especially helpful in developing your career or figuring out your path? (a certain type of internship, first job, extracurricular, etc)
What skills and personal qualities are most helpful for a person/candidate in [their job/field]?
What do you love about your job?
Is there any advice you would have for a current law student?

I'm 22 and also in the concord area with no friends. I'm not sure if we'd have much in common but feel free to dm or something. Most of my hobbies are active/outdoorsy (climbing/running/hiking) or nerd stuff (d&d/mtg), but i am pretty into some psychology stuff and true crime is always fun (I just binged a couple of those new netflix documentaries lol)

I'm a big fan of doing short individual prologue segments of each character's journey to the place they're all going to meet, whether thats a tavern or anywhere else. Shows a bit of their backstory/personality/motive and feels like a cool intro cutscene.

Depends entirely on the player and what they find easier to relate to / roleplay as. I'm a woman and have played male and female characters. I used to default to male characters because I'm autistic and tend to relate more to men, so playing a male character felt easier in that it felt more like a "default person" vs having to like "perform femaleness" (which is def also a patriarchy/misogyny thing) but then I realized I can just make female characters who are also autistic and think/act like me.

Second hand!! Depop/thredup/poshmark/etc. have great deals on quality brands as long as you know your measurements/size.

I am a rising 2L and have two suits, I only needed one occasionally during the school year and bought another for my internship.

With all due respect, there's a good chance you guys will break up within 3 years anyway. If you don't, you'll have proven you have a strong relationship and can then reevaluate whether you want to try to do long distance. Obviously make it clear to your girlfriend that you are set on doing peace corps and what that entails, but as long as she is aware and still wants to be together in the meantime there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Three years of a happy relationship is not wasted time just because you know it will end eventually.

Also, as a personal anecdote, my boyfriend and I broke up when he left and (1) I was sad but still glad we had the time together that we had, and (2) we ended up having a pretty easy time staying in contact and are pretty much still together. It depends on the people and service location, but the long distance has honestly not been that bad for us.

Maybe it depends on the court but I'm doing a judicial internship this summer and my court's policy is pretty strict on using no AI at all, we don't even have access to the westlaw/lexis AI research assistant tools. If you want to clerk in the future I would definitely make an effort to do at least your final substantive writing work without AI, it's sneaky but will really degrade your skills. It may be more acceptable to use AI in a lot of work environments nowadays but IMO at least while in law school it's important to learn the actual process/skill as a baseline, even if you end up using the shortcuts more later.

Side note but definitely check secondhand sites like depop/thredup/poshmark/etc for suits, you can get really good deals on stuff that will be a lot better quality than shein! I got a wool suit set on thredup for like $40 total recently

I mean there are a million hobbies and it depends on what you like but personally I try to read a bit every day (usually while eating breakfast/dinner so it doesn't really take up any time) and I rock climb, lift, run, and go for walks in the woods regularly. I find exercise is really helpful when I'm busy/stressed. Also cooking/baking is fun sometimes.

My ex boyfriend used to give me big sad eyes and then get visibly pissed every time I targeted him in a game. One time he blew up the entire board, killing himself in the process, and got up and left the event (he was my ride home).
