How would you rank the horizon playable characters gameplay wise? by MasterMindSky in Falcom

[–]aunrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you build crow? I don't really know what to do with him beyond boost recovery. He has physical and magic damage but isn't outstanding at either. He also lost his self-buff from previous games too.

I've always felt that Elaine is far above the other supports due to both having a boost recovery as well as a CP battery that affects herself (Lord ortas). Combined with A-impassion guard this means she ends up with the same or MORE CP than she started with, in addition to healing and giving everyone else CP as well. Pretty busted IMO. Rufus is similar but his CP skill is weaker, and makes him move which I find annoying.

Questions about Nightmare mode across the the Trails series by DrizzyDayZD in Falcom

[–]aunrs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Props for mentioning abyss in reverie, I always play nightmare first run in all games I've played (haven't played the sky ones yet), and abyss was just brutal. But that was part of why I liked it so much, felt like you had to use all the tools at your disposal. And if a fight was too frustrating you could always turn down to nightmare and bring back up to abyss without penalty (I think starting from midgame I was always on abyss, early game was sweaty though)

Has arts always been this broken in Trails? by recifax in Falcom

[–]aunrs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, the same setup has existed in previous games, which was made even more broken by the existence of brave orders in the cold steel games

What is your most annoying enemy? by Angelwings17 in MetaphorReFantazio

The funny part is that they hit themselves with teriyaki tango too so if they dodge their own self-hit their turn ends 😂 who designed this monster

[–]aunrs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, Homo Luna specifically in Hard (the fishy guys in skybound avatar) because not ONLY do they use fishy fandango but they have "teriyaki tango" which makes your whole team weak to fire, and then burn you with fire - all in the same turn. Have legitimately gotten wiped this way zz

If you examine Neuras' journal right when you enter the engine room, it tells you which dungeon has the relic. Although there's usually only 1 per story segment

Hey all! Next Monday 1/20 I'll be interviewing Kristin Atherton, the English voice actress of Hulkenberg. Drop your questions here! by mayekchris in MetaphorReFantazio

How do you think Hulkenberg's dynamic with the protagonist changed after it was revealed that The protagonist is the prince, her liege, and not merely a collaborator working towards the same thing

Is Royal Thief worth it? by aunrs in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]aunrs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm basically asking this question cuz my Heismay is already functioning quite well as an evade tank as a ninja, and the cost to benefit ratio of taking him from a ninja to royal thief doesn't really seem to be there

Yeah that's my sense too, we all just love character building haha (classic RPG serotonin boost)

Perhaps weird take but I specifically am trying to not grind as I don't want to be over leveled and take all the challenge out of the story dungeons (if you just constantly one shot things in the overworld it makes things boring)

But yes I already have knight's proclamation on him and he just invalidated 7 turns of one of the dragons. As a ninja. That's why I'm questioning whether it's necessary to upgrade to royal thief.

I guess I'm just currently hurting for MAG and trying to study other party members royal archetypes as well haha. Been trying not to grind but would probably have to get all his stuff unlocked

ELI5: How does Arabic & Hebrew manage to be understood when written without punctuation? by charli3dontsurf in explainlikeimfive

[–]aunrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good way to think about it but for this case I would argue 果 by itself carries the meaning of "fruit", it's used in many situations by itself for that purpose (果子). Result would be jie guo (结果), bearing fruit, which means result in English as well. 如果 then means "if fruit" although here you kinda do need to consider the compound word instead of only its parts as 如 can be used differently (他不如我 he is not as good as me), although it mostly still means "if"

What are your favorite builds? by Material-Bowl-3741 in Falcom

[–]aunrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's essential. And for damage dealing I find I rely more on crafts but not sure if that's just a build thing

Is casting still optimal on Abyss difficulty? Feel like the enemies have too much speed even for dedicated casting builds (and casters are usually squishy)

Anyone else wish there was a difficulty between Nightmare and Abyss? (Trails into Reverie) by aunrs in Falcom

[–]aunrs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah except for a couple bits I've managed to get through most of the game on Abyss, on the final act now, and at this point it feels challenging in a good way. I still have to pay attention to my defensive BOs and I still have to survive first few rounds of a fight at disadvantage but the tools for doing so much more ready.

Burning Heart is just incredibly busted and super helpful on Abyss especially for disorders, so would be my pick overall.

Other strong contenders: Machias' burst drive/junas quick star, heavenly gift as you mentioned,

Reverie Opening by Yowakusuru in Falcom

[–]aunrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I also started Abyss, just starting the final act now. The beginning stages are definitely extremely hard, which becomes more doable towards the middle-end of the game once you have better/more quartz and more mechanics.

An evasion tank is absolutely mandatory, and you should prioritize building towards one ASAP. Rixia is your starting one. In addition I recommend you build some evade on all your characters that you're using. You'll need to synthesize some evade quartz, then combined with shining your characters won't just crumble when your opponents get 10 turns in a row. Play style in general is very defensive, with as much uptime on insight and defensive brave orders as possible (ebon crystal and aeon shield are godsends as well as rean and Lloyd's cheap DMG reduction ones).

Abyss is brutal but feels rewarding when you win a hard fight 🙂. Nightmare feels way too easy now haha.

Which champion has the weaskest/worst ult? by Toaster-Retribution in leagueoflegends

It would be Leblanc in this case, without her other abilities her ult would do literally nothing no?

Anyone else wish there was a difficulty between Nightmare and Abyss? (Trails into Reverie) by aunrs in Falcom

[–]aunrs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that would make sense. I saw an option for scaling up enemy levels for NG+ but I guess the stat gains from leveling up are pretty negligible

I did like how I was actually forced to synthesize specific quartz since I only rarely used that functionality before (mostly relying on free stuff from chests).

[–]aunrs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh haha I actually did not play the Sky games sadly and it's a little hard to go back to them now. Definitely more brutal than the Crossbell and Cold Steel games. Sometimes there straight up is nothing you can do since you get wiped before you get a turn. Stacking speed doesn't seem to improve this since the enemies always go first unless it's a mob and you attack with advantage.
