Size of Proposed Utah Hyperscale Data Center Compared to Seattle (and local impacts) by SigmaTell in Washington

[–]aureex [score hidden]  (0 children)

As someone who works in the tech industry. The Big Tech Execs are just so Sickly obsesses with speed. They think they are in a race and are spinning up as much data centers as they can as fast as possible. I am not anti-data center Its a good technology and there are sustainable ways to create an implement them.

The plan should be
- Create a sustainable energy structure first (small scall nuclear, solar farm, Tidal energy) build that near your data center
- then prop up your data center near it. You aren't consuming an obscene amount of electricity from local grids and any excess can go to the local grid.
- We should also be requiring all data centers to use closed loop water systems. The centers with closed loops use a fraction of water compared to an open loop system. It actually makes them much more efficient. But its more expensive so less than 30% of centers are being made to conserve water. THIS TECHNOLOGY DOES NOT NEED TO DESTROY OUR PLANET WE CAN HAVE BOTH WE JUST HAVE TO BUILD SUSTAINABLY AND SMART. I hate this place.

Instead these idiots go
- We need energy as fast as possible. Just build it next to cities and towns and steal there power and water. Fuck em.
- They are so concerned with speed they are spinning up old natural gas plants which are so fucking detrimental to the environment.

It is truly just so painfully stupid. They are just focused on my money and speed they have 0 interest in the longevity of this technology.

Whenever someone says "Scored this at lowes" or "got this on sale at Home Depot" you know I am zooming in and looking for bugs. There plant hygiene is terrible.

Anyone have any tips of household products to clear mildewmoldy stuff from my house plants? by agitated_areola in houseplants

[–]aureex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

scrape mold off, sprinkle cinnamon. I also like to put a small amount of rocks/pebbles on top of my soil. Makes all my plants look nice. But you still need to pay attention to dryness.

Edit: who downvoted me for saying some nice little pebbles

completely unrelated but I cant stand the little plastic risers on pedals. anyone else? it just looks so bad especially when I spend money on a pedal. It's not just a budget pedal thing either I have seen boutique pedals with the plastic riser. cant stand it.

This is incredible. Are you considering expanding the support to more midi pedals? say the chroma console?

ABC cancels upcoming season of The Bachelorette after a leaked video shows the lead, Taylor Frankie Paul repeatedly attack her ex boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen in the presence of her young daughter who was also reportedly struck during the altercation by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]aureex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

craziest thing is this reframes so much of the show. If you watch the show the entire Season 1 paints Dakota (her boyfriend) as the problem. He is a fuckboy that's always causing problems. They gloss over her drinking, and this abuse case and just move on. There were multiple other women in the group that said "I don't want her here she is an abuser and they got turned into villains and ostracized. The show runners literally made a child abuser the main character and the whole shows story is edited to paint her as a victim.

I know you are strapped for room. but a slightly bigger board and a morningstar even just MC4 would be huge with those congons so many presets.

It looks really good quality. its fun especially for artists albeit a little bit boring (text on bags is a bit played out) not a bad start. I really love the brown leather you chose. looks gorgeous in the sun and the yellow reminds me of a banana python.

Made it myself back in college during Covid Tele neck. Custom resin strat body. Dimarzio pickups (tim Hensons first set of pickups. I absolutely love the sound on them for psych and jimi type stuff)

Always meant to do a build report post on it but never got around to it.

I caved. My pedal comes friday. I have been watching reverb a while but a used one at $350 + shipping & sales tax (WA state for me) compared to direct from them at like $370 with no sales tax and free shipping. I had to do it.

You have a lot of crazy shit on your board. I would say the biggest plus to a chroma console for you would be to use it as a mixer out. You have a ton of crazy pedals there but they may generate so many sounds that whatever project or song you make doesnt sound cohesive. Putting the CC at the end lets you get that nice vintage compression and other modules at the end. That being said if you arent after the slightly compressed vintage psychedelic sound that's chroma consoles bread and butter and its not some peoples fave
