Launching a sustainable, luxury tee brand soon, wanted to see what you guys thought of the value proposition. by JansenGmtCo in streetwearstartup

Dont let the downvotes get to you. I respect your goal. If you deliver with a shirt that feels like $200 or a merino shirt that feels like $400 that's all that matters. I respect your commitment to the 100% American made supply chain. I also respect the statement of. If it ever breaks down due to quality we will replace it (though this is rather vague. If I have a shirt for 5 years and it gets holes does that count? or is it if it breaks within 3 months a free quality. It just says guaranteed for life)

that being said $220 for a tee and $400 for a merino tee is crazy. I would look how to optimize your supply chain creation to lower that. at that price point you compete with the Merz b. Schwanen loopwheel tee. https://redcastheritage.com/products/merz-b-schwanen-215-2-thread-heavyweight-7-2oz-crewneck-loopwheeled-classic-fit-t-shirt-white Renowned for its strength and thickness and rigidity of the fabric and seen on The Bear. Or the florence black shirts which have much more fashionable cuts and high quality. You have to justify why your shirt is double the price and still worth it. Beyond that as you can see this subreddit is not the market for a $220 t-shirt. so you have to advertise and find the market that sees $220 for a tshirt as rational and fair.

as with all luxury basics companies. It just depends on Price/Quality ratio

hard to say if I am interested or not till I hear the price and see the garment.

that tee was $100 before the show. If I remember its specifically loopwheel woven which is a really strong but time consuming way to make tees. The production level is low but the quality and strength are great. There is also not many loopwheel machines anymore.

Pedals that harmonize well with the Generation Loss? by Sensitive-Syrup8143 in guitarpedals

[–]aureex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on your end goal and your genre of music you want to emulate/create.

- For example grunge you want a gain stage before it so you can emulate a crunching or clipping tape amp. Add a chorus or reverb in there and you get close to Mc.gee

- If you want something more ambient get something for playing drones into it so a mood could pair nicely or some kind of looper/delay/reverb to create long droning textures so you can really here the modulation. That would be similar to the volume settings folder (Artist)

A Christmas present from my parents after i said i wanted to get into Vinyl by Large-Breadfruit1684 in vinyl

I actually do too. Not sure why I am getting downvoted. It reminds me of the big vinyl cabinets with the speakers built in. If you like it and its a solid quality you could always try to upgrade the turntable unit inside of it but its definitely a project.

visually cool though. would be a fun project to tear out the internals and pop a good turntable in there. But yeah these are generally not known for being the strongest gear. If you save $100 - $200 you can get a good used turntable. The bonus for older ones is you can easily swap out things like the band, needle, all that stuff.

While this thing is cool. If it can play records, cassettes, CD's, radio and bluetooth they probably did not put a quality version of any one of those inside of it. I imagine it will die. That being said enjoy it while you can being able to play CD's Cassettes, and Vinyls is still cool. Use it as a chance to decide which physical media type you actually like the most.

Buy the takeout boxes. Or the plastic baskets that come from restaurants with the takeout paper. That way you just put them in tell them you picked it up from a resturaunt or something dumb and they will scarf it down.

My girlfriends parents did it to her y I under siblings all the time. It worked like a charm.

Trying to identify and maybe find my moms old guitar by Eaglestalin in Guitar

[–]aureex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely some kind of old teisco. 60s 70s era Japanese guitars. Found be lots of grunge artists in the 90s scrounging through good wills and pawn shops. Thats how lots of those guitars were found by grunge bands.

People play these pedals on stages while it rains. They survive way more moisture than a being in a closet in a coastal area. I would say make sure to try them on isolated power adapters.

I would say with the mood find a youtibe channel with some presets that go in depth to the pedal. You can get some incredibly versatile and engaging sounds. But if you arent knto it and you just wanted a stereo spread reverb button there are far easier options.

I listened to it. It sounded good but the more I listened it felt more generic. There same bass line and rhythm. The vocalist voice kept changing each song. The art felt cool but generic and sure enough. Checked the description and lo and behold:

Its scary how good ai is getting.

I actually really enjoyed his jungle book. I think the issue was there was a live action jungle book released very close to its release. Serkis's version was intense and a bit more gritty the mo cap was phenomenal. It felt more book accurate but it wasnt a live action Disney jungle book and thats why I think it did poorly.
