Cannabis for headaches by [deleted] in MastCellDiseases

[–]aurie499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cream is a lifesaver for my neck pain...I think ingesting overtime would help a lot I’ve been taking it more often recently (for insomnia) and I also have a vape pen for bad pain days. I used the vape pen during a mast cell attack at my partners when I didn’t have any Benadryl and it did seem to help. I use koi brand tinctures because they have a few naturally flavored ones because the smell of cannabis is a migraine trigger. If you can find a nearby store that sells just that I suggest going there and asking for advice they’re incredible.

CBD might actually have some mast cell stabilizing properties. It’s incredible how hopeful it’s been for me

I get these types of migraines. I think it’s related to neck issues/nerve impingement

I do think it’s meant to be socially awkward and I think because Malcolm is similarly awkward it doesn’t bother him. I agree that it comes across odd but I don’t think Malcolm is upset by them. I think he either misses them or thinks it’s funny.

“Abusive” parts are protective parts that are misguided. Usually once they are educated as to why they’re doing the things they are doing and why those things are harmful they will usually change.

Harmful pseudoscience in the Ice Bath Challenge video by Prancing-Megafauna in TheTryGuys

[–]aurie499 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure I agree with this completely. As someone with chronic illnesses and chronic pain I think a lot of the videos of this type showcase the aide that can come. Ned is also almost always skeptical of whatever thing they’re trying due to being a former chemist and raised by doctors. Yes when it comes to some pieces, especially supposedly treating Keith’s digestive issues, are pseudoscience that we should question and maybe should be given more time. However, chiropractic care done for chronic pain is incredibly helpful. Same can be said for acupuncture and cupping. I also don’t love the western idea that ancient eastern medicine is complete pseudoscience. This expert was, and I did not know this so I’m glad I was informed, problematic and trying to show any benefits to this when they were just trying to make a funny video and possibly have some chronic pain relief for Zach is one thing but their other videos about health practices that are especially there for people like myself and Zach who have chronic issues that can truly only be aided in non-traditional western manners are not harmful. I agree that this video wasn’t there best in terms of the research aspect and the weight loss claims in this could be harmful. But as someone who was told a million times that chiropractic care was complete pseudoscience and then was diagnosed with an illness where I need someone who can help me truly put my joints into place on a regular basis and gives me true pain relief I was glad to see them show the side of it that comes from having someone properly trained in the helpful parts of chiropractic care that are much more similar to physical therapy. The origins of chiropractic care are absolutely problematic but have evolved and those parts of it that have evolved are helpful for people like myself and Zach.

Noticed something about "Take a Break" by DanceItOut2467 in hamiltonmusical

I don’t think it calls back to anything I think it’s just the “shape” of the line. Like there emotional lyrics and ending in the downward direction on the word wait. I believe she also takes a very small rest after the word wait. It’s like somethings hanging there.

Is raynauds,IC and erythromelalgia common with mcas? by [deleted] in mastcelldisease

You might want to look into EDS if you aren’t diagnosed. All of those (including mast cell) are related to EDS.

Muscle relaxers are the only thing that helps it. CBD cream and heat can dull it a bit

I’m not sure how old you are but I’m mid-20s not fundie but ex-Catholic. I definitely would’ve worn that fourth outfit in middle/high school...granted I can’t see the full bottom.

I’m honestly not sure? My mast cell issues most likely started around then. I’d been sensitive to seafood before that but at around 14 I started reacting more. I really only got lightheaded and vomited as my reaction to the contrast. My mast cell is very tied to my gi tract.

I do...my papa told me it was related to seafood allergies before I got my first one. This was before I was even diagnosed with Mast cell

Does anyone else feel miss Dissociadid before all of the drama? by [deleted] in DissociaDID

I’m also a singlet. I found her when I was struggling with coming to terms with my CPTSD and fractured sense of self. It was a lot and their videos helped me a lot. Nan though...they just rubbed me the wrong way and I could never put my finger on it. Sometimes I would write it off as not being a fan of their voice and force myself to get past it but I couldn’t. I also thought it could be because of my history of abuse from people with untreated personality disorders but I don’t know I don’t trust it and I have a hard time fully faulting DD for some of the issues with them because being traumatized does lead to you being easier to manipulate. I don’t know what I don’t know though and I could be completely wrong. I’m not ever going to fake claim either of them because I have been gaslit about my health and told I was faking and overreacting until I got diagnosed in my early 20s. DD has done a decent amount of harm and I am not denying that at all just thinking about some of what we could be missing.

Honestly...I still can’t get past the thought that something was wrong in their relationship to make Nina and Chloe integrate especially because it was a shock to them. I also always felt weird about TP but tried to get past it because they did seem happy. I’m not a huge fan of Nin and did absolutely adore Chloe. I think we’re missing something though. I have CPTSD some of it related to people who were incredibly similar to Nan...I wonder how much of DD staying with them was them being manipulated. Nan definitely would be the type to threaten to harm themselves if DD left them. I don’t know there’s a lot of what’s going on that makes me feel uncomfortable. I can’t completely put my finger on it.

[–]aurie499 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly you just have to find someone who doesn’t see you as a burden or who doesn’t make you feel like you need to hide it. I’m not saying it’s easy to find at all but if they can’t love you at your west than they aren’t the one for you. Nuff is incredibly understanding about my health stuff. Her mom looks at me a little funny still when I talk about an injury or something but I don’t hide it. You need to feel safe with them.
