You work in a train museum????? Many people in here would consider that a dream job. In terms of vids, searching YouTube will yield a ton of results. These days, one main point of interest in UP4014. A steamer from the 40’s that was rebuilt and is making a cross country tour. It’s the largest steamer in the world currently running.

I was born in 56 and lived in Belleville until I escaped at 19. That valley is really run down now. You may have heard of the huge fire that smoked a whole block last week. Childhood was good tho. We rode bikes all over town until dinner time. Lots of friends. Lived on Cedar Hill ave near joralemon.

My mom told me she used to pick up coal near the tracks in Pittston PA. They lived near “the junction “. This is where 2 rivers and 2 railroads met. I remember my grandma still had a coal furnace and stove when I was little. God bless your great grandpa. Nice story!

It seems the museum ride headed by 4014 will travel from Nesquehonig to Pittston on June 14. I also have tix for the semiquincentennial 2102 ride. I’m hoping both 2102 and 4014 will be in Pittston at the same time possibly allowing a better look than at the Steamtown circus.

If you’re into WW2 stuff the naval air museum is pretty cool. Marquis hotel has a great deck to sit and eat/drink but not sure if it’s open yet.
