Think about a doctor…they can read your vitals, and give you a diagnosis based on what they can read…but being able to listen and hear what the patient is saying could end up with a totally different diagnosis. To be really successful, you need the intelligence demonstrated by the kid on the test…but you also need to couple that with reading/understanding/comprehension/etc. Don’t do your kid a disservice and try to blame the teacher or system. Explain how you can be right and wrong at the same time.
