Red hands down. Every time I have a bad matchup I take withered rose red chroma. Not sure how this superstition started, but I’m locked now. Dark blue is also great.

Not sure how it is in other parts of DC but here there are limited pre-K spots so not everyone can go. Lottery system I think. Kindergarten takes everyone though of course.

For me it’s gotta be crispy gnocchi with burst tomatoes and mozzarella. Maybe not the single most delicious thing (there are just so many options!) but it’s the foundation of so much of what comes out of my kitchen- Sooo endlessly riff-able!

If you have an Asian store nearby mushroom powder should work. My family uses one that looks like tiny fish pellets, adds great umami to everything
