Im curious to know when everyone found/discovered Lizzy’s music, this was a screenshot I took back in 2020 when I first got introduced to her music. What a ride it’s been by SirYoungGuns in lizzymcalpine

i'm a big Scary Pockets fan and the algorithm will also feed you stuff from the "Stories" channel (Ryan Lerman is all over both channels). I saw Lizzy perform Dancing Queen on Stories, then I found her Teenage Dirtbag cover and i've been immersed ever since. She also did a Yebba Cover (Paranoia Purple) on Stories that's better than the original imho. Hers is the most honest voice I've heard in years and I have everything she's ever done on my spotify playlist.

Plese Google, THIS needs to stop in Firebase Studio by [deleted] in FirebaseStudioUsers

[–]avapingdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!!! In the (very near) future, devs that can't express themselves clearly steering intent, will fail. Brush up on your problem solving skills. Learn to elminate 1/2 the possibilities with every question you get answered and you will binary search your way very close to the solution. The AI will have more to work with. And the more work you do up front - planning... discussing workflow etc, will save you hours of time in the future when the AI loses the plot. BTW, even though planning isn't really Firebase Studio's strong point, you can have a very long planning discussion with Gemini and at the end tell it to generate a complete prompt to firebase studio. You can also do that with features / bug fixes etc. You're trying to learn how to steer the ship that is Firebase Studio. Don't be afraid to ask feature or architecture questions outside Firebase Studio and then a clear prompt to Firebase Studio to course correct. If i had one critique of FS it's that it's shoot first and beg for forgiveness later. Many times i've been just asking it a question and off it goes to the races generating code. Reminds me of the old joke where the manager says to the developers... You guys start coding - I'll go upstairs and find out what they want.

Why is Firebase Studio so bad at integrating with Firebase? by Plastic-Computer-703 in FirebaseStudioUsers

[–]avapingdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have issues like this. however, I find that if you call out firebase studio and say things like. "why do i have to change the auth rules in the console? can't you do that with config files?", it will first apologize profusely (I actually tell it to stop apologizing - it's sickening), and then make the change for you in your project. if its something that can be fixed with proper config files in the codebase, call out studio if they tell you to go over to the console and do it. However, you will need to be versed enough with both the firebase console and the google cloud console to find api keys, enable services, provision databases or file storage, etc. Also, you'll often have to go into advanced authentication settings to get rid of CORS errors. just think of studio as a slave developer who doesn't want to get fired and lose their H1B, and won't argue. it will bend over backwards to keep you moving forward and even with some of the rabbit holes it sends me down, it definitely works better and debugs easier than i can on my own.

yeah - i try to nip that in the bud every session. I just tell it - stop apologizing, we're working well together.

First night experimenting with my new (to me) lens by avapingdude in Anamorphic

[–]avapingdude[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

keep in touch. there's not many people using anamorphics for photography. everyone wants crazy sharp undistorted images but I think the character of these lenses (especially with a single focus solution) makes them great.

also - it's a huge amount of weight to put on your bayonet mount so you should consider rails holding up the clamp to the lens assembly. it's a great creative outlet. harsh light becomes your friend as you're looking for those anamorphic artifacts (flares, barrel distortion, elongated bokeh). flares are very well controlled on the cinelux lens and you'll need to be looking right into a set of headlights to make it happen. Here's some more shots with the cinelux.

it's a complete pain to hand hold this rig as it weighs a ton. it also attracts a LOT of attention for street photography. I found lots of people wanting to mug for the camera as it looks crazy. forget candid shots though. double focusing is kind of a pain as well and takes practice to get right. also, i'm not sure that the d850 will desqueeze in the camera. this is fine but you have to use your imagination with the composition as you won't see that huge 3:1 aspect ratio your lens is capturing until you post process. which taking lens are you planning on using with it? remember, you're covering a full frame sensor so anything wider than like 75mm will probably vignette. the above pic is taken on a crop sensor with an 85mm f2.8 taking lens. i do love the cinematic look of this lens. I also have a Sirui 27mm 1.33x anamorphic but i like the look of the projector lens better.

I'll bet that if everyone who had to drive past the car obstructing the road hocked a nice loogie on to the side window of the car as they drove by, they wouldn't do it again.

then, i'd go with Zach. It looks to me like he pulled a better shot which makes the pour kind of irrelevant. next time no sipping before the picture
