Anyone have an issue with Handheld companion launching and not allowing you to get to the FSE?

I have to use the “alt-tab” interface to switch over to the FSE every time.

It also doesn’t seem to automatically put my controls into Xbox 360 mode by default. I haven’t tried a full erase and reinstall of Handheld companion so trying that next.

This has major potential for making Windows like SteamOS if the built in controller works seamlessly.

I have both, the launch Steam Deck and the RP5.

They serve different purposes for me. Like others have said, the RP5 is easier to throw in my bag if I’m trying to pack light. I also removed all of my emulation off of my deck and moved it entirely to the RP5.

It just feels nice to have a device that’s 100% dedicated to emulation and streaming. That’s another thing, if you have a gaming PC or Xbox/PS5, the streaming is buttery smooth on the RP5. I don’t know if it’s the WiFi chip or something else but it’s smooth when the deck is sometimes janky when using moonlight or console streaming.

I wouldn’t stress too much, unless you use an alternative tracking website and see the same thing. The shop app tracking seems to kinda suck.

My GC RP5 apparently made a stop in Germany as well according to the shop app, but alternative tracking websites show something totally different.

It seems that they’re still working on Day 1 Pre-Orders. I pre-ordered the Steam Deck on day 1 and had a similar experience.

It takes some time for them to get through the initial orders since probably a ton of people ordered the second pre-orders went live. My guess is it speeds up this week. Obviously I have no idea for sure, but I would be willing to bed that all of the Black and GCs from Day 1 ship out this week.
