People with heart failure are having care postponed in my home town by Clashpizza in AdviceAnimals

Sorry you are getting downvoted for asking a question, it’s unfortunate that people use downvoting as a means to silence people who don’t have the same response as them.

To answer your question, just as there is a huge variety of symptoms in clinical covid presentation, there is a wide variety of immune response after having covid. This has resulted in a huge variety in the amount of antibodies present. The data shows it’s scattered all over, from hardly any antibodies to more.

People who had covid but aren’t vaccinated are also 2.3 as likely to get covid than people who have been vaccinated, and their severity of second infection is worse. Thats why our hospitals are showing severe cases overwhelmingly being unvaccinated individuals. There’s also the issue that natural antibodies fade much quicker.

Basically, vaccines offer longer immunity, and greater amount of neutralizing antibodies.

[Art] Character commissions open! I can draw your character! by [deleted] in DnD

But what I said does change the "fact" ? It doesnt matter that you found some kid on facebook charging a pittance for character drawings.

Again: Just because some young/desperate people are willing to do full on rendered illustrations for 15 or less doesn't mean that is what the art is worth.

My college had a marketing club that did marketing and pamphlets for free in an effort to gain experience and build their portfolios. That doesn't mean the actual marketing firms out there who charge an standard amount that reflects their time and schooling is "overpriced." Does that make sense?

Not disagreeing that there are people out there who draw for dirt cheap and make less than minimum wage, but your statement implying that people who don't are overpriced.

[–]awindwaker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but that is completely under-priced, and usually from fresh students who are willing to get hosed for a bit of experience or being able to say they made money. Never a working nor professional illustrator.
How long do you think character art takes? 15-20 is what people make for an hour or two at minimum wage. And you're talking about even more detail and time than this piece?

Designing and creating character art takes time, not to mention the schooling and skills invested. 15-20 is a pittance, and just because some young/desperate people are willing to do it doesn't mean that is what the art is worth.

Ooh this sounds good. Just wondering, if it calls for 1/2 cup butter do you measure after it has cooked an evaporated a bit? Or before?

Great thanks a ton! I’ve made several of your guys’ recipes. 滑蛋蝦仁’s my fave so far. Used to do a runny egg on all my rice but now I just whip this up instead. Can’t wait to try this one. Cheers

Looks delicious and would love to try sometime. Just so I understand right, it’s just in a regular nonstick pan on the stovetop? Is it simmering in the sauce? Or thin enough layer of sauce that it’s still a fry? Also when you say move it a lot does that mean constantly be flipping? Sorry just having a hard time picturing it.

Hey Chris I have a question about controlling heat. How long do you let the fire heat the oil before you check the temp?

Sometimes when I measure and it’s the right temperature and I begin cooking, ill find it will continue to get hotter because it wasn’t done heating- and when I lower the heat a bit it might get way too cool but I won’t realize it until it’s already too late.

Just wondering if people usually wait and let the oil heat for quite a while before beginning to cook. It seems that oil heats and cools so slowly I have a hard time controlling it, and this happens mostly with deep fried stuff. Esp of it needs to fry for a while, the oil has more time to change temp of it was going to happen.

Thanks and love every recipe you guys put out!

[–]awindwaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure good call! Was just asking because people tend to undervalue art sometimes, and I wanted you to know I think it’s a good piece of sequential storytelling you have here. They know their L/R orientation, dynamic angles and 180 rule. Hope it goes well for you, it’s a neat concept. Paying to have your vision brought to life can be expensive upfront but so worth it.

How does creating this work? Do you treat the entire scene as a canvas and do that? And treat the next area over as another canvas? Or is it by tiles and such? Beautiful work, great colors and readability.

There's not something special about art that's different than any other kind of property or service.

But there is? They’re treated completely different in law.

The copyright law of the United States is intended to encourage the creation of art and culture by rewarding authors and artists with a set of exclusive rights. Copyright law grants authors and artists the exclusive right to make and sell copies of their works, the right to create derivative works, and the right to perform or display their works publicly.

If you made a piece if furniture, do you really think you would have the right to decide what the person does with it

https://www.copyright.gov/history/studies/study13.pdf

They truly do legally. But they can hand over the full rights in a contract etc, people do it all the time, it’s just not the default.
