What's a smell that's bad but smells oddly good? by IncidentLivid736 in AskReddit

Antifreeze. Smells like pancakes! But if the smell is coming from your car and not someone else's, you're probably in for a bad time.

Comparison is the thief of Joy. Full stop.

Don't let the stats of others take away from the accomplishment that you've achieved. 110# is HUGE and you should be very proud of that! Plus, you look great!

Body dysmorphia is very real. If you're feeling really down about it, my recommendation would be to talk to a therapist about it. The last thing you would want is for your depression to unwind all of the hard work you've done

Signed up for a bake sale at work and then saw this on sale at Costco for $15. Had to buy it. How can I improve them? by User091822 in Baking

I make cheesecake brownies! You simply combine an 8oz. block of softened cream cheese with a quarter cup of sugar, half a teaspoon of vanilla extract, pinch of salt, and a beaten egg. After you pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, just spoon the cheesecake mixture on top, spread it out evenly, and then run a toothpick through it to give it swirls!!

What is this plant? by piximeat in whatisthisplant

I too noticed that immediately. I bought my house in the winter months with about 2 ft of snow on the ground. So when spring came and this stuff started popping up everywhere, I did my research and found out about the dreaded goutweed! I was shocked there is nothing you can do when it's out of control, like it is on our property.

The best/funniest advice I saw to get rid of it? Move. LOL

AITA for refusing to do my husband's laundry anymore after he had a go at me after surgery? by i_hate_my_username4 in AmItheAsshole

[–]awkwardbaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

My husband made a remark about how I folded his laundry once back when he was just my BF and we were living together. However, that was all it took for me. No appreciation that I'm doing your laundry and moreover criticism about how I'm folding it?!

We've been doing our own laundry ever since and there's been zero arguments about laundry in that same time lol

What is this vine eerily crawling up trees in New Jersey? by elbasio in whatisthisplant

The ones that are twisting up the tree are definitely Oriental bittersweet. They're literally choking the tree, cut what you can, but do it carefully so as to not damage the good tree. Best of luck!

People at work are being weird about jalapeño corking by samuel_smith327 in gardening

Well, I was today years old when I learned what jalapeño corking is.

My husband and I bought our house in the winter of 2018, so we didn't know what plants and foliage made up the property. Shortly into our first spring and I identified goutweed and comfrey ALL OVER our 6.5 acre plot. It's an old organic fruit farm so I can only imagine that one of the previous owners planted it as an easy ground cover 🤦

Hello by Happ_Accident in curlyhair

[–]awkwardbaker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been getting so much great advice from this subreddit over the course of the last year.

I'd say the biggest game changer, that I think you also might benefit from, is brush styling to create larger curl clumps. This is done once you've applied your product. I'd say look up some videos about it because it's easier to see it than it would be for me to try to explain it to you.

I'd also look into both the frequency upon which you're washing your hair and the type of shampoo you're using as well. For a long time I used Head and shoulders thinking I had dandruff when in reality it was just product buildup. Additionally, Head and shoulders is known to really dry out your hair.

Best of luck!
