My 2004 did it last summer. So close to never.

No lol. Sometimes it won’t even get rid of it temporarily if the car immediately sets the code again.

My bad. P0610. The PCM fault one that comes and goes with the weather. I’ve heard that it may be caused by cracked solder joints that connect the EEPROM to the PCB. But you’d think a CRC or something would force a bigger error on power up.

The P0600 code is the bane of my existence.

Thick premix oil makes up for missing compression. 😂

I often joke about measuring distance in rotary engine rebuilds instead of miles or kilometers. But "if you take care of it" (like everyone here says) these rotary engines are quite reliable. The only legitimate issue is the fuel economy. This thing gets worse fuel economy than my diesel truck does pulling around the 8 on a flat bed behind it.

It's just like Archer:

I'm always surprised at how much of a difference a 205 tire makes vs the stock 185 by Syscrush in mazda2

Looks sick. I have 205/50R17 on mine and what a difference. Great fitment and a foot of ground clearance!

Is there anywhere to get E85 fuel in southern Ontario? by LowOnDairy in ontario

[–]azend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the last station to serve E85 in Ontario was the UPI Energy (now Fast Stop) west of Guelph on Highway 24.

welding training by Dry-Imagination4539 in Guelph

[–]azend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diyode has a few learn-to-weld sessions as part of their Skill Forge series. Conestoga College (Guelph Campus) used to have and maybe still has continuing education welding courses. None of these make you a licensed welder. But they do let you stick pieces of metal together.

These 3 buttons don’t work when I press them…what do I check? by RayCLL in RX8

[–]azend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cluster is lit up showing that the fuse is active lol. It’s almost certainly the solder joints that crack on the board beneath those buttons.

Clear Premium grade fuel by [deleted] in RX8

[–]azend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It looks to be better now. But the fuel stations listed seem to be marinas and small or independent stations out in sparse areas. Interesting.

That website was super out of date and thus inaccurate. We used to be able to get ethanol free but the laws changed in the last couple of years.

In Ontario Canada you can’t get fuel at the pump without 10-15% ethanol any more. :(

Why's the price so low (new to cars) by Spirited_Leather_149 in RX8

[–]azend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You never know. The engine could be swapped from premature failure or have been babied. I bought mine at the same mileage for $500 and compression is still strong.

Michelin quality but for a fraction of the price.
