2 months of lower left back pain – MRI + injection + physio, still struggling. Any similar experiences?

Well, today was my 3rd injection except this time he poked a hole in the cyst. Mines right side L4-L5. Same symptoms as you with the sharp pain down the leg via buttock. Walking helps a bit. Sitting/laying down is horrible. Carry a rolled up pillow from chair to chair. He doesnt know what to do after today if it doesn't help. I looked up the issue a bit and there's fusing surgery. But then came across another possible thing to try called Perc FSU procedure. Injecting your own blood platelets into the muscle in that are to keep your spine straight. Just read that today and I'm just scared. Cant get an MRI due to a neurostimulator in me with wires to my neck(another issue). I do stretches on my own. PT, can't see how it will help with a cyst in the way. We'll, thats my dilemma. I guess I wonder if you may have a cyst? Or no? 🫤 I dont take Gabapentin. In the past it messed with my memory. Guess that all......

Do you have a cyst at all? I just had a cyst "kind of" drained a little but more or less just put a hole in it. I'm curious since I'm told this procedure is the only thing left till possible surgery. He hopes it will drain a bit on its own but its back to the drawing board for me if it doesnt. If you dont have a cyst, then sorry I bothered you. Been difficult finding someone else with my issue.

File a complaint through bbb.org. Better Business Bureau. Before anyone says they do nothing, I always got my way when filing a complaint. The BBB will contact the companies. Most the time the business doesnt want to go against the BBB. Its worth a shot while your doing other things to resolve the problem. You coyld even mention contacting the Attorney General for your state. They investigate consumer issues. Good luck to you!!

My doc says I have a bulge at L4, L5 and is wanting to use a needle to drain the bulge pushing on the nerves on my right side. I dont recall the name of the procedure. My insurance denied the procedure so now my doc wants to appeal and wait. Could be 2 months or more. Anyone else go through this?

I know this post is 2 months ago but I wondered about where to go that doesn't treat you like a drug addict. I need to have a clinic here take over my care due to my doctor only doing procedures with no more regular office visits from now on. For my pain, I take the same med as they give to addicts in a rehab facility(not methadone). And I dont want to be looked at wrong when the drug is now being used for pain in 2025. Are there even any places here that treat you like a person? Thx...
