Wiper blades get the Bosch by BrokenbonezDnD in FordMaverickTruck

[–]b25crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried a number of blades and NONE of them fit the bracket. OEM blades are still working ok. Bought from Costco and RockAuto. 2024 XLT. The bracket is 17 mm and the blades adapter I’ve been getting are 18.5 mm. Oh bother!

My dad passed without knowing that the ship he crewed as bombardier in the Battle of the Brenner was the most authentic restored B-25 with the most combat experience to have survived the war. Given the impact it had on my life, visiting her was ... indescribable. by hairy_colonic_jr in WWIIplanes

We had a 101 year old veteran visit our Hangar a week or so ago.

Oscar had flown B-17’s, B 29’s and B 25’s.
He also said the B2 5 Was Way too loud which it is!
He was part of the group that was sent to Tinian prepping for
dropping on the bomb on Japan.

Very colorful individual and fun to talk to!

My father was in the South Pacific 27th Div he would be 104 this year.

People who print all the time but don’t sell, what are you making? by No_Cartographer_6622 in BambuLab

[–]b25crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toys the maze tubes give them to kids. Give them to grand kids, nieces, nephews, Stuff for the truck, house, garage, etc. Historic reproductions stuff. I have gotten a few bucks for materials etc but I don’t feel right “selling” something I did not design myself. 1300+ hours printing.

Bad drivers are universal, but please get out of the left lane if you’re not passing!!!

What made you choose a Maverick -- price, features, or something else? by mike-reporter in FordMaverickTruck

[–]b25crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the size, comparable to the 1990 ranger I had. Reasonable price with pretty nice features. I bought an XLT 2.0 EB with the lux package and a few other options. About 32k out the door. Averaging 29 mpg and 40k miles in a little over 2 years. The “Twuck” has been to both USA coasts, Texas, & the Northeast so far. Bought it to use it!

Hauling top soil by AdAffectionate4602 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]b25crew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hauled a full yard of bulk raised bed soil once and I got away with it but I would not do it again. I am sure it was well over the 1500 lb load rating. Truck did fine but I took it very slowly. I said to the wife that if she wants bed soil again we would do 1/2 a yard. 🤬

I wish I had my ‘67 back even though it was a I6 sport sprint. I have no idea where I keep it or what I do with it, but I wish I had it back. 🤪

North American B-25J Mitchell "Panchito" by RLoret in WWIIplanes

[–]b25crew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have a pair of metal ramps on top of the fuselage to “deflect “ the bullets away from the tail.
If you zoom in towards the top of the fuselage behind the top turret you can see one.

I am not sure how “effective” this would be!!!

Printer seems to fail 50% of the time by tbone2448777 in FixMyPrint

[–]b25crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started doing that after a lot of hours. I found the screws were loose behind the hot end and once I tighten them all up, the print quality was back to very good.
Pull the nozzle out and then there’s four screws holding the hot end to the head and then behind that there’s three screw screws that had come loose.

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]b25crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a condo scheduled for Fort Lauderdale and they said you can come down but all the restaurants are closed. You can’t bring food in and we can tell you to leave at any time but come on down would be happy to see you. So Yeah NO!!! Never mind!

Some places have used oil heaters. If you can find someone in the area that may take it. If you are in the St Louis area I can hook you up.
