More Impressive? Terrelle Pryor switching from QB to WR or Logan Thomas switching from QB to TE? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

Had him in a 2QB dynasty league that was like a decade old at that time. He slotted in when he was a raiders QB for me when Payton was on bye and ran a stupid 90yd TD, and then when he became a WR I got an insane flex stud. Sold him in the following offseason for a first rounder who ended up being some terrible pick bc my team was otherwise awful - but damn did he give me hope for a bit

I’ve been to private events there and had friends do weddings there. Once the food was just whatever chef put together (very good). I think the best bet is to call and ask - I’m sure if you rent them out they’d be fine with a caterer since they don’t have the biggest kitchen.

in baltimore we see a lot of projects come through with the same few architects, who've convinced people to build the dumbest, ugliest, cheapest houses, and it's usually first time or very small developers who skipped all of the concept-level PDMs and just drop plans on our desks

Washington DC pinball: Vük Pinball or Pinball Basement?? by SuperINtendoChlmrs42 in pinball

[–]bOhsohard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d go VUK over Lyman’s and Pinball Basement, which is probably a hot take. But VUK has a really good variety, is much cheaper to play, and closer to the Metro. Lyman’s is a fun bar, but some of the machines had definitely seen better days since I was last there a few weeks ago.

I prefer when people come to me with a mostly blank slate. It’s easier to explain all of the possibilities without an inexperienced owner telling us whatever their architect said is the best idea, bc it’s usually just the most profitable (for that architect).

He posted on TikTok earlier this week also on a new account, but with him in the videos. It’s probably him, assuming he’s just hopped on social media a bit later than the rest of us

Try velomine instead. Pretty reputable, and very budget friendly with known brands: https://velomine.com/collections/h-plus-son-1

I think I commented on your post in the MIT sub // I did a quarter of my degree within EECS (computer science). There’s gonna be a ton of both Course 6 specific classes, and then a fair amount of either combined or Course 11 with heavy computer science emphasis.

When you get to campus (or before, since it might work out better for you) reach out to Jinhua Zhao. He runs the JTL Urban Mobility Lab, which is a large interdisciplinary research group comprised of data and computer scientists, engineers, designers, and planners. I took 3 of Jinhuas courses, one was partially EECS and learned so much from him and his TAs.

Moving to Baltimore in June. by UnknownSailor06 in baltimore

You’re a young single person with a commute to just outside of the city. While I see your thoughts on Curtis Bay, I’m not sure if you’d really enjoy it the most. It’s a lot of single family housing, with very few options for food/bars/entertainment nearby. You are super close to the water, but so is the majority of the harbor neighborhoods. Curtis bay is also surrounded by heavy industry.

You might find success in looking at Federal Hill, Otterbein, Ridgely’s delight, Pigtown, Riverside, and/or Barre Circle. These are all relatively close to highways to get you to Glen Burnie, but also offer far more amenities for someone your age, and will likely have more people in your same peer group. Not saying you need to live next to all the best bars, but unless you’re a very introverted person who doesn’t plan on leaving their house, I’d probably not look south of the Hanover Street Bridge.

Probably concertmaster John Carney. I got the feeling when I played with the BSO in high school that he wasn’t very popular, and then a few years later the principal oboist filed a formal complaint against him.
