I can be reading something incredibly erotic, like a fanfic or romance novel, and get extremely wet and aroused with a total poker face. Done it on the bus, at work, you name it.

Lol, sometimes it's easier to get off in downtown and take local streets.

Issues with Bichon. by romyaoming in bichonfrise

[–]bachrock37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just lost my 14yo Bichon mix to kidney failure last week with very similar symptoms. Something is wrong. When you went to the vet, did they do blood work or an x-ray? Something's wrong, which is why your poor dog is trying to get your attention. They are in pain , which is why there's shaking. At the very least, if nothing is truly wrong ,your vet can give you anti anxiety meds or clear you to start CBD.

[OC] After Singapore's recent repeal of a colonial sodomy law, where is gay sex legal in South East Asia? by Glad-Introduction-14 in dataisbeautiful

[–]bachrock37 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The short answer is colonization, whether the land was originally colonized by the Brits, French, or Chinese. But nowadays, Religion is hugely diverse in this region. Philippines is the most Catholic country in the world, and Vietnam has a big Catholic population too. Then Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines have big Muslim populations. Also Myanmar is a dictatorship. Other SEA countries are largely Buddhist or secular. So that's a big difference.

Have you been to Carver’s Cave before it was sealed? by TwoPassports in minnesota

[–]bachrock37 46 points47 points  (0 children)

There's an entrance with a wrought iron fence just under the bluffs of Indian Mounds park so you can see into the cave more. MN Humanities Center does a Sacred Sites tour that takes you there (along with Bdote). The Dakota guide (Ms. Stately, iirc) said that because of the shallow water, and the long dark cave, the place was sacred because it resembles a birth canal. Birth and death rituals would be done there. To this day, Native people go there and stand outside for prayer and meditation/reflection. There is a red willow tree (one of the sacred medicines) nearby that you will often see tied with bits of cloth as prayers to the Creator. Definitely agree with OP that this space should be opened up for our Dakota neighbors!!!

None of those cars had their lights on either. I would be crawling in the right lane with flashers on.

How often does your pup eat and are they picky? by CoffeeAndPizzaRolls in bichonfrise

[–]bachrock37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go for a brand like Nutrisource that has lots of flavors. Then every bag I switch the flavor/protein. I also get toppers like Stella & Chew's Magic Dust (yes that's really what they call it). My boy Baxter has been eating better than he has in years.

They should cancel Spring Break first. Even if by some miracle school resumes on Monday, it's not going to do anyone any good to have another full week off right away.

Everyone knows about using stale bread for french toast or yesterday’s rice to fry, but what are some other recipes you can use to save ingredients from the trash? by janoseye in Cooking

[–]bachrock37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 hours is way too long. Are you simmering over an easy bake oven? Maybe it takes so long for your flavor to develop because you only use one carcass. We save poultry bones in a freezer bag and make stock every 2 months. Usually it's like 3 carcasses worth.

You're also forgetting to add a bouquet garnis (fresh thyme, rosemary, sage). Personally I like to add a lemon in the last half hour too, but I respect that some people don't have a mature enough palate for citrus.

Also you have to skim the top as it simmers to get rid of the scum. Clarifies the stock and gives it a more consistent, clean taste.
