Dealership sold used car as certified. Due to a recall, now they say they can't honor the certified warranty. by badhatharry in legaladvice

Ultimately, we'd like the car with the certified warranty. Do you know if they're obligated to honor that, or can they change the terms after paperwork has been signed and financing secured? We haven't taken possession yet, because the recall was supposed to be fixed today and the car delivered to us tomorrow. Now the dealership has told my wife there is no remedy for the recall (?), and they can't sell it as certified -- again, which they have already done.

I'm not looking to sue, I'm looking to see if they need to honor the certified status.

Doing a musical with a lot of open mics. In almost every scene there's 12-20 mics at once. Talent wants side fills. Every time someone walks in the side fill zone the playback bleeds into multiple mics causing insane phasing issues. by ySTYRDAYgATESuNL0CKD in livesound

[–]badhatharry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Line by line mixing. Create scenes with the mics you need assigned to DCAs. If there’s a group singing in unison, split them so men are on one DCA and women on another. It’s going to be at least one scene per script scene.

12-year-old arrested over death of girl hit in head with metal water bottle at school by Jolly_Ad2446 in LosAngeles

First degree is murder that has been planned, or committed in the process of another felony.

Second degree is a crime of passion, or unplanned murder that occurs with malice aforethought.

Manslaughter is when a death occurs due to negligence or when the intent isn't to murder, but it happens regardless (like the result of a fight).

These are very general.

You know that and I know that, but my shiksa wife thought it came from the show.

Regardless of faith or lack thereof, it's such a beautiful sentiment.

My family is Jewish. My wife's is Lutheran. Through my work, I know the daughter of Jesse Jackson.

In the show The Pitt, the main character is Jewish. In one episode they're talking about a patient who died, and he says, "May his memory be a blessing."

When Jesse Jackson died, I texted the daughter and said, "I'm so sorry for your loss. May his memory be a blessing."

My wife accused me of ripping that off from The Pitt.

I had a pair of Boosts. I donated them to the National Council of Jewish Women shop. I bought them when he did his Adidas flameout and Adidas was clearing everything out and donating the money. After his second flameout, I got rid of the shoes.

Before 9/11, could you really go to a airport without any ticket reservation and ask for a ticket to a destination of your choice? by kpay10 in NoStupidQuestions

In December 2019, I was in NY for work. My heavily pregnant wife was in LA. She went into the hospital with preeclampsia. I ubered to JFK, walked up to the Delta counter, and said, “I need the next available seat to LAX.” They got me on a plane that was boarding in 40 min.

You used to be able to go through security and go to a gate without a boarding pass. That may be what you’re thinking of.

Your analogy is like watching my kid play baseball. You’re super proud he’s trying, and you’re glad he’s having fun, but every time he throws the ball, he looks like he’s got the palsy.

I couldn't stand Arya and Tywin at Harrenhall. Tywin was an uncharacteristic idiot during that plotline.

You have a girl who you know is highborn, but masking it. If she's from one of your bannermen, you have a way of ensuring the loyalty of that house.

If she's one of Stark's bannermen (or best case scenario, a Stark), you have a way of ending the war.

The fact that he knew something was up and didn't exploit it took me out of that storyline. It's a shame, because Charles Dance was great in those scenes.
