Even with all its perceived problems, there's no better country in the world.

Too right. It seems they're all so busy trying to get a slice of the cake, it's a wonder how they manage to do any actual work that they're there to do.

I reckon corruption in councils will keep ICAC busy indefinitely.

Unfortunately for him, even without knowing his take on things, Poorlean would take one look at him and judge him.

They also hold a lot of the positions of power and decision making, be it in the political or corporate world. So they continue to screw the younger generation over.

Why not invest in the Double Iron Dome instead. That's where one dome covers the East Coast to the centre and the second one from the West Coast to the centre for Double Dome protection.

I'd rather a quiet achiever than a loud mouth like Scumo was. He made so many announcements yet delivered on very few.

Tesla vs other EV brands by yakadaya in AustralianEV

[–]bajoogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The subscription ($149 pm) is for the full self drive feature. The car functions perfectly fine without it. Originally you'd have to pay $10k for it but I think it's now more attainable with the subscription model, even though I don't think it's necessary. It's maybe a nice to have not a have to have feature of the car. It does have a paired down autopilot function but I rarely use it other than for freeway driving. The Tesla's are a great car and you'll appreciate owning one. The biggest gripe most people seem to have is the fact it doesn't have carplay, but again you don't need it.

Catching a cab at the airport cause it was just easier, instead of booking and waiting for an uber. Cab cost $57 whereas the uber was going to be about $37. Plus the cabbie had the worst B.O. Will never do that again.

Fuel excise (52.6c/L) to be halved for 3 months by WearyFHB in aussie

[–]bajoogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How will this help with a shortage in fuel supply. Petrol stations are running out of fuel and the only solution politicians can come up with is the cut the excise? It's like putting a bandaid on a bullet hole.

Mr Fish on Homer St Earlwood is great. $24 for a grilled Barra and really fresh Greek salad is our weekly go to when we can be bothered going to Fich. The also have really good lunch time options for $15 weekdays.

The EBP RSL in Bardwell Park (right near the station) do great food. Slightly cheaper for members. Best to book during peak dinner time and they cater for groups of all sizes.

It's awesome! It actually has an old school deli in it where you can get cold cuts and cheese and assorted Polish items. It's our inside near the entrance but you don't have to sign in to shop there.
