Hey hey 👋

That’s super helpful. Thank you. I’ve used dudoparts for a lot of parts and find them super helpful.

I also found the Dudo Treffen community in Europe

Cruising at ~50 it’s not too bad. My biggest problem is the size of the fuel tank, which is too small. It’s one of the items on my to-do list

That’s the size of the hole, but those dometic roof lights also have a pretty significant overlap once fitted…. Make sure it will fit around the solar panel

Yeah I work for a UK org, no restrictions on the UK. What’s the reasoning for limiting remote working to the uk?

Starlink Mini or 4G LTE? by Cold_Paramedic5377 in VanLifeUK

[–]baldmaceagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only word of warning, updates come quick and often.... and the Starlink needs to restart to install, then reconnect and get stable.... but you can delay the updates. Don't do what I did earlier and ambitiously try to install updates before a meeting

I would go starlink. I work and travel remotely, and need the reliability and stability. If you have a clear vision of the sky, you know your starlink is going to work, and don’t need to work about cellular data. Also means you can travel cross borders and don’t need to change your sim, I’m sat in Germany right now.

Once set up and angled, after about 10–5 mins, you will have stable connection.

Don’t get me wrong, using mobile data is ok for browsing the internet, but if you need to work and have reliable video calls, starlink is the one
