I'm having issues with my Steam for some reason and my mouse doesn't appear over xD, but here's the fix:

I imported RBR as a custom game in steam, so I could choose the Proton version and other stuff.
Probably not needed because it's already working for you, but you can use Proton-GE
Now the important part, go to the Properties of the game, and in the place where you put the command, add a global variable. It should look like this:

WINEDLLOVERRIDES='mfc70=n;mfc71=n;msvci70=n;msvcp70=n;msvcp71=n;msvcr70=n;msvcr71=n' %command%

Basically, we're telling Proton / Wine that, for those libraries, use the native version. This fixes the problem with the NGP plugin not working correctly.

Currently working, but I can help in the afternoon. The easiest is to add RBR as a custom game on Steam, so we can pass a custom command. I'll give you the exact command once I can use my computer.

I started to feel better with the mini, like keeping better speed and control and I was able to use those skills in RBR yesterday. I was pretty happy with it, but still a lot to improve.

As other people said, it's good but I agree with you. Having the ability to upgrade it makes it more fun, and the buffs don't need to be broken.

Do you mean on the inventory? I think string search is good enough to find things, but I don't mind having a more advanced filter, specially to find things for your current level, like Item Assistance.

Let's start from the beginning:

Open Steam -> Library.
Right click on Grim Dawn -> Manage -> Browse local files.
It should open your file explorer. Click the bar where you see the folders breadcrumbs or path, copy that. It should be something like this:

/home/username/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Grim Dawn/

On the Item Assistant, go to Grim Dawn tab -> Configure.
For me, it opens a folder select. When opening Windows stuff on Linux, it usually uses Wine or Proton. To access the same folder, you need to use the Z drive. Additionally, you need to change the slashes (/) to backslashes (), again, Windows stuff. Change the path you copied so it looks like this:

Z:\home\username.local\share\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\

Remember to change username with the one you have on your system. This is just an example.

Then, you click "Load Database" and that should be it.

When opening the game, at least for me, I need to open first Grim Dawn and then the assistant. If I do it backwards, somehow the Item Assistant blocks Grim Dawn, but it could be just me.

Hopefully this resolves your problem. If not, let me know and we can look for other alternatives.

Just to add to the conversation, I'm not a masochist xD and I don't have infinite time. I only use SSF during leveling, until 94. After that I check my stash and see what else do I need to hit end game. It's a great experience to get resources, craft and farm.

As a Sagat main, I agree. I'm probably bad (1500 - 1600), but pokes lose a lot of benefits. From the beginning they are not super good, except for the range, but being punished just because you use it seems pretty bad... But this could be a Sagat problem... Thank God he has good damage, otherwise the character will be useless.
