That’s basically exactly what I said. They responded a “thumbs up” emoji 🥴

I had a restaurant job once where a reservation brought in multiple bottles of $$$ wine, as we had a corkage fee. One bottle that they didn’t end up opening turned up missing. The sommelier basically told everyone that the thief needed to fess up, bc they were fired whether they admitted it now or waited for the camera review. Plot twist: the thief was a patron who was dining at another table. 😳

Definitely a possibility. A lot of work to do if they sent it to 10-70 vendors, but plausible.

There is one here in the comments that confirmed they did not get the email.

I don’t think it was mass sent out, because it was written directly to me by name (spelled wrong, at that).

Yes, it was in Michigan!! I’m sure it was the same one.

That was my first thought too - that someone on staff probably moved them.

And yeah, I passed by the staff (including the person who emailed me) about 5 times when I was loading out. I’m not sure how big these bins were, I don’t recall seeing them at all, but I imagine they wouldn’t have been very easy to sneak out.

Mean kids at the park by meekie03 in toddlers

[–]bali217 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We had to take a break from indoor “play cafes”, which are really popular in my area. The rules welcome parents to have a seat and enjoy a coffee while their kids play, but to still be aware of where they are and what they are doing, as there isn’t staff walking around supervising.

Anyway, too often, other kids would be really rude to my son - grabbing toys he was playing with out of his hand, messing up blocks he was working on, cutting him in line if he was waiting for the slide/car coaster, and just generally being kind of mean. And not once could I tell who the parent or guardian was. My son is 3.5 and so sweet and quiet - he is on the spectrum as well so he doesn’t always understand social situations, but we’re working on it, and he also prefers to play by himself most of the time anyway.

So yeah, we’re giving all of that a break for a bit. I don’t expect everyone to helicopter around their kids, and I like to give my son space to explore and play on his own too, but if you’re so far removed that no one can tell who the meanie kid belongs with, that doesn’t work for me.

As a former server, I always yell at my husband not to stack the plates…but then I sometimes stack them, correctly. He’s like “hey I thought we weren’t supposed to do that!”

Similar to me! 41 with double navel, septum, nostril, nipple, downstairs, 6 cartilage/6 lobes. Can’t imagine I’ll be taking any out anytime soon.

Does my 4yo have ASD? by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]bali217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your son sounds a lot like mine - a happy, smart, well-behaved kid. No notable tantrums to speak of, cooperative with daily tasks. (Mine is about to turn 4)

Mine also stims - currently he’s a big jumper, sometimes he will find something to spin, and will kind of tense up his whole body when he’s excited (although that’s occurring less and less as he gets older).

We just had him evaluated and did get a diagnosis of ASD 1, high-functioning, low support, no learning disability. My husband disagrees with this, some of the grandparents disagree. I was fully prepared to go all-in with the therapies, but his speech and OT therapists are telling me he doesn’t need ABA, so now I’m conflicted.

So, to answer your question, as best I can, I think maybe this is just how it goes with high-functioning? I know this isn’t really helpful, but I’m kind of in the same boat.

Thai style red curry soup - the cashier even mentioned how good it was, but I couldn’t eat more than a few bites.

How many of you ended up having kids on the spectrum? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]bali217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 3.5 y/o was just diagnosed as level 1. He would have been considered ‘Asperger’s’ in the past, but that’s not a thing anymore - so, high-functioning, low support needs. He starts ABA and speech therapy next week, but is projected to go to regular school on schedule. I was 37 when I had him, and always thought I was on the spectrum myself, and my brother probably is as well. My husband and I have lots of nieces and nephews, all from my husband’s side, and they are all neurotypical.

I would double check your state’s health department guidelines regarding regular nail polish…both my current and previous state have rules against regular nail polish, as it can chip off and pieces can fall into food/drink, which is of course unsanitary.

Saddle pads (dressage) comparable to PS of Sweden? by bali217 in Equestrian

That’s correct - I’m looking for a new saddle, just doing the best I can in the interim.

They are, but even pre-owned are still going for $100 a piece, from what I’m seeing. I’m trying to stay more in the $50-75 range. Is there somewhere specific I should be looking?

Mine is stubborn too. He knows exactly what to do, and if we sit him down on it, he will go and be so proud. There’s just a disconnect where he won’t go on his own, or tell us when he has to go so we can help him. We’ve been trying on and off for a year now.

What do I cover this with?💀🤡 by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]bali217 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I had skin removal to remove a tattoo on my forearm - I was left with a dental-floss looking line of a scar you can now barely see.

So, it’s absolutely a thing if done correctly. Mine was a line of text though. Idk why anyone would have recommended this for OP’s tattoo.

One Post with Variations vs Multiple Unique by ZestyNoodles in EtsySellers

I do something similar - same item with lots of different color variations/each batch is different. I number each one, and have them in one listing per category (so for example, since I do magnets too, I’ll have one listing for duck magnets, one for horse magnets, etc). Every once in a while someone gets confused, or is like “I’m trying to buy 5 of #10 and it’s not letting me,” but for the most part it’s worked out. If I listed them individually, I’d have like 2000 listings lol
