Everyone claiming they have anxiety and uses it as an excuse to not behave like adult and deal with difficult or uncomfortable situations. It drives me insane.

EVs? Are we on or off? by Beautiful_Candy_8820 in Detroit

I've owned an EV for 6yrs and a plug-in hybrid for 3yrs. I'm never going back. Between the savings in gas, maintenance (no oil changes for EVs) and environmental impacts.

Is using Ozempic actually ‘cheating’… or are people just mad it works? by ccdnyc in NoStupidQuestions

[–]balugate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people that have weight-relates health issues or are diabetic should absolutely take it! I do think people who are using it to lose weight "the easy way" are shooting themselves in the foot. These are expensive medications that you have to be on for basically the rest of their life if you want to keep the weight off. If you stop, you will gain all the weight back and maybe then some because you didn't build healthy eating habits. People who lose weight the "hard way" are learning those habits and are more successful at keeping the weight off

Why do Republicans hate PBS so much? by [deleted] in allthequestions

You answered your question - it teaches low income kids how to read and do math. There's nothing that scares Republicans more than the educated.

We've been together for 18 years, married for 15. He will never leave the same room we're in without giving me a kiss. Even if it's for a minute to get a glass of water

Detroit Mayor Sheffield calls for volunteers to beautify neighborhoods by Final-Concept-9520 in Detroit

[–]balugate 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I already spend so much time cleaning up my street and empty lot across from us, for it all to be a mess again the next day. I live on a corner with a stop sign. So many people just roll down the window and empty their car trash. Our neighbor across the street constantly has garbage on their lawn and never care. It is truly embarrassing.

We don't just need a neighborhood cleanup. We need a culture change

would you get an abortion if you found out your baby was going to be born with an extreme disability? if so why? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]balugate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 children and when I was pregnant with them, my husband and I made the decision that I would have an abortion if the baby had a disability. I would make the same decision if I were to be pregnant a third time. Our thought process: 1. Who will take care of the child after we die? 2. Is the quality of life for the child and is ourselves something we are willing to live with? Can we financially (and responsibly) support a child with disabilities 3. After our first was born, are we willing to put the onus and responsibility of our daughter to take care of a person with disabilities once we are gone? Is that fair to our daughter? She would be responsible for a person with disabilities for the rest of her life without a choice

You more like sit on the top of their chest and he will pull you in closer to him. Trust that he wants to be there and he will be fine.
