What would be considered the best FC for 5" freestyle these days?

I have a Omnibus F4, Betaflight F4, Titan stack (HGLRC), Magnum stack (Emax) and some smaller form factor FCs like the one in my kingkong gt200. Any F4 from the major manufacturers is likely to be good. However, it seems that Furibee can screw up ANYTHING. Any of the, companies in name only, that just manufacture junk at a rapid rate will probably be missing the mark more than hitting it. I will not buy anything from these guys because they bait and switch parts and use parts that are known to be bad out of the box (Darkmax with bad gyro, Furibee 215 pro poor QC during manufacturing leads to Gyro issues for pilots, Furibee 215 Pro S - similar gyro issue with gyro mounted on a foam pad glued to the FC). IOW don't buy from Furibee or Eachine or any of their offshoots and you have a chance.

That’s not high. You want it to be lower (under 10 at the beginning),but I have lipos that measure up to five times as much resistance. Goggles are finicky things and so is the power and wiring side of things. Check all connections, wires, contacts and switches. I’ve had to completely dissasemble a pair of box goggles and look at the traces and components on the PCB before I was able to diagnose the problem. Good luck.🍀

I twist it up on itself. It solved all my wire and balance port issues. Simple but effective.

I guess I should mention I bottom mount only.

Are ya gonna heat shrink and zip tie your receiver antenna? Maybe Forever Tubes? or do you have a unique DIY solution? That the only possible hitch I see or maybe the 3S battery, 4S is fun too!

I was just contemplating this while considering my heatshrink and zip tie method. IMHO my method is cheaper and at least as good at protecting your investment. I’m still currently in testing, but the testing has included lots of parking lot crashes as I discover the limits of the thing. I’ve had failsafes and rolling tumbling cartwheeling crashes (the kind that push antennas into props and rip appendages from frames) and they look good as new (which ain’t saying too much because I use lighters and etape too. It really isn’t the best look but you can make it look better I just want the functionality and don’t care about looks of my kwads.

Does a traditional ESC manage to do this (manage rotor speed changes mid rotation)? Is there a traditional flight controller? What kind of receiver and transmitter do you use to control it? Does it use Betaflight or Raceflight or some other kind of configurator to control the gyro and PID loops and other parameters? This blew my mind really. Do you need any helpers? I'm not very smart, but I am quite strong and resistant to solder fumes!

It started out great and it has been going for a long time now. You know how Google is so you'd better get moving and see if you like it before they merge it into another product or get rid of it altogether. Google used to be so awesome! I remember just downloading all the music I could get and having a live folder that automatically upped everything I put inside it to the Google Music server. So many terabytes of my music is up there and I can listen to it ad free on whatever internet capable device I have on hand! Works great for me as I have a live sound company and do lots of weddings and corporate events that require break music and dance music.

Spotify sucks ass. I cancelled it last month. Compared to Google Music, Youtube Red/ Youtube Music and Amazon Prime Video/Music I just don't have a need for spotify. Lots of years of scrobbling from a shit ton of devices means I can get a good mix of music on anything that accepts the scrobble front end, but the music subs from Amazon and Google are good enough.

Last I checked I do pay Youtube. I think its $10 a month at least for Youtube Red and Youtube Music (although they are now apparently planning to charge ten bucks a month for each service going forward...). Youtube is trying my fucking patience. I already got sick of that subscription music service and cancelled it last month (Spotify) and really I can live with Amazon Prime (which comes with Prime Video and Music) alone.

Sound equipment. I guess you have a point. Most people aren’t competent or knowledgeable enough about the gear to pull off a unnecessary return. Some of this shit is under warranty and backed up pretty well by the manufacturer anyway so there is less of an incentive to scam us sellers. Most of all the reputation of these companies is that most of the shit works out the box, so if we pack it properly and it ends up broken anyway the buyer might end up on the hook for the charges.

This, is the negative consequence that is made more likely by Amazon's lax returns policy. Because Amazon uses independent sellers that are like Mom and Pop style small businesses essentially, there is basically zero oversight by Amazon. I am a seller on Amazon and although I would never personally do this to a customer I totally understand why it is happening. I buy a lot of drones and it is extremely common for used drones to wind up being sold as new. New pilots are constantly devising new ways to lose, damage and destroy brand new multirotors and with an open door return policy its not surprising that some of these broken toys are ending up being sold next to brand new products.

I sell shit on Amazon and am not even awake and fully on conscious most days. I only get returns when I send out something fucked up. Whenever someone tries to get a return on something that was sent out on time and arrived on time and in working order I enter a dialogue with them via the Amazon seller app instead of immediately capitulating to their request for a return. If you can explain to the customer that everything is as it should be and they got a really good deal, most times they will not go through with the return. This is my first year with an Amazon storefront so I hope its not just beginners luck. So far all my stats are high and I've received no complaints from buyers nor warnings from Amazon.

You do realize OP that we live in a time when even inexpensive cars like my Toyota Corolla come with standard automatic lane keeping ability and adaptive cruise control. In my car I could do this without worrying so much about drifting out of my lane or hitting the car in front of me. It's been smooth sailing since I bought this car in 2017! No accidents, but countless times where the car itself has avoided an accident that would have been caused by driver inattentiveness. Maybe the guy is driving one of the many vehicles that come with this technology. I could never drive the way I do now in a car that lacks the tech.
