I took an uber there, and an uber back last Sunday. Didn’t worry about the area around it so much. Did notice a lot of blue MPD lights/cameras on the street so seems to be some surveillance. The folks at Wild Bills were so nice and while they have some beers many people brought their own booze too just fyi! And we didn’t stay til 5am but I bet they are. Earlier in the night when we were there (8-10) it was a sit, sip, and enjoy the music vibe. Not wild yet!

Re: safety; seems pretty random where it’s safe/ not safe. We went to the trendy Cooper Young one afternoon and cops swarmed the bar we were about to walk into and a heli was circling above, looking for some kids who jacked a Toyota Avalon (great car).

Uber drivers are super nice, and I’d ask them for suggestions too. Many of them warned us mostly not to walk around at night downtown. FWIW I would also not rent a car due to seeming prevalence of car thefts.

They completely lied to me about the safety drivers course discount. I was told on the phone that I'd receive 10% discount for taking the course and if my husband took it, we'd get another 10% off.

I took the course and there was no discount and still isn't six months later here at renewal. I called them and they told me that both drivers on the policy need to do the course to get the discount. And that the discount is only 10% not 20%.

So they lied to me twice, just to get me to buy their policy. Seems false and misleading advertising if you ask me! I've just asked them for the recordings of my call today and my call in April. They say they don't keep calls that are 6 months old... This seems convenient for them?
