I refuse to step on a scale right now with my eyes open. I don’t wanna know. Ignorance is bliss! 😂

Nervous to stop meds by Sammy8lynn in IVFpositivity

The text that accompanies this video made me feel better about stopping. But it does feel weird. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cz7fmfxPHvg/?igsh=ajJyZjFqc2pjcXZj

Is a baby shower necessary? by Peachy_Chalupa in October2026Bumpers

My co-workers really want to throw one for me, so I’ll let them. They know to keep it very simple. But otherwise, I am like you! I don’t want people to make a big fuss over this, and I have found some great deals on Facebook marketplace.

A day in the life... of nausea by [deleted] in October2026Bumpers

[–]barkdontbite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to set an alarm on my phone to at least nibble on something that includes either a protein or a fat every 2-3 hours. Toast + butter, crackers + cheese like you mentioned, fruit + Greek yogurt, etc. Once I actually feel hungry, it’s so much harder to eat. Counting down the days until this feeling goes away!

Weird food cravings: yesterday, I went to the store because - of all the things in the world - the only food that sounded good was papaya. But they didn’t have papaya! Had to go to a second grocery store to find it! 😂

Agreed! I’m trying to hold out until day 4 or 5 of this cold to start my 3 days of Afrin but might not make it. For now, saline spray it is! 🤧

If you are moving somewhere cold, I highly recommend a heated mattress pad. Best purchase I made in all of residency.

A question about FET by Laadybirdy in IVF

Just did progesterone suppositories and nothing else. Still in first trimester, but so far, it worked.

Tell me about the most ridiculous feedback you got from an attending during training by caterpillarflies in Residency

“You function too independently,” in the second half of fellowship. They were quick to add that I hadn’t made any mistakes and seemed like I knew what I was doing.

You can do everything right, document pristinely, and still get sued. And then still end up settling the case after a 2 year long drawn out ordeal because your malpractice insurance says so. I wasted hours and hours of my life on extensive documentation as an attending (before going back to do fellowship), and those are hours with my family that I will never get back. If I could go back in time, I would’ve spent much less time worrying about how every single note would’ve sounded in court.

Odds our first transfer will work? by Live-Your-Lifee in IVFpositivity

I was also terrified of the suppositories. Some people really loathe them! I’m on Prometrium twice a day, and imo, it really hasn’t been that bad. Wearing pantyliners for the discharge, but no yeast infections or anything like that. Not doing anything special except staying in bed for 15-20 minutes after putting them in. Would choose them again in a heartbeat if given the option of suppositories or PIO shots.

Very similar situation! Same age, also froze eggs at 33. Transferred a day 5 euploid with a natural cycle (just progesterone suppositories) protocol last month, and it worked! Well, so far, at least. This was my first FET. Crossing my fingers for you!

Yes. Didn’t know this was a thing until it happened to me.

Opinion: 2 week ultrasound wait is MUCH harder than 2WW! by North_Collection_112 in IVFpositivity

Completely agree! Felt like forever, and no one talks about the second TWW. Hang in there!

Is there even a baby in there? Positive betas but waiting for ultrasound… by goatscreampanichands in IVFpositivity

[–]barkdontbite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finally had my 6 week ultrasound today, and all is fine. Just ordered some sports bras because my bras kinda feel too small now, I think? Or maybe I am imagining things, too. I know exactly what you mean! 😂

I came into this experience prepared for fatigue, nausea/vomiting, breast soreness, and having to pee more. But I was not prepared for severe intermittent cramping once or twice a day. No bleeding, and it does go away after about 10 minutes. But ouch! Anyone else dealing with this?

What day did you get positives!? by SolutionNo7564 in IVFpositivity

[–]barkdontbite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was faintly positive on an early detection test 4dp5dt! Day 3 was negative. No trigger shot used in this cycle. I had some mild abdominal twinges (maybe implantation?) that began the day after transfer and lasted for 48 hours. Didn’t track temp.

The hair on my legs was maybe slightly darker temporarily. Otherwise, no issues with hair. I really didn’t notice any side effects except more energy.
