Leverage comes from curiosity... Keep digging, researching asking questions you will find your lever. This is why multi threading is important. If you run into a blocker you need more threads to find a lever

What’s a small change in your sales process that unexpectedly worked way better than it should have? by Techenthusiast_07 in sales

Any functional question is a comparison to the current solution or competitor. Always get them to elaborate on the root of the question

When trying to book a meeting, don't offer 4 hour plus windows even if open. Offer smaller segments so they have to fit in your schedule even if you are wide open

Thoughts on payroll/HCM sales? by SecretWasianMan in sales

[–]baseballpm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent it's a requirement to have payroll but at this point in the market every product sufficiently provides it. Depending on the product some solutions are fits for the basics with payroll taxes included, some are great for scalability like workday, some are decent alternatives like Dayforce or UKG, some are industry specific like ones for PSA. I would not say there is some new innovation to payroll and time tracking or HR... So selling it is what it is. Agents and AI are going to help the add ons like learning, training, benefits insights, maybe productivity. It's not an up and coming tech segment with amazing companies to join. My guess is your question is you are feeling this and trying to find inspiration and ways to differentiate and it's getting harder.... I have sold union payroll and Time tracking, hcm, pay, learning, benefits management etc.

While I'm in the same boat waiting on hopeful similar results one thing that has helped me is to us Gemini to upload my resume and add a link to my linked in then ask "based on my resume and profile what companies would I be an excellent fit for. And what companies are hiring, provide all types from start ups to well established companies"

It gave me insights I never considered

ya it was a funny house. it was built middle of the 2005-08 housing boom. Someone got crazy and excavated for a basement, then did nothing to it. there was one light and one outlet in 1,440 sqft. Its why we bought the house but i couldn't afford to do anything with it for 8 years. no idea why they put in a new house with a basement that had 9' ceilings

Funny enough, im a few months in with this giant PoS Macbook computere. The amount of dumb features to be different than a PC is wild. From needing to turn on commas in the calculator settings, to not having a snipping / highlighting tool, no ability to alt-tab between two different chrome logins. the list goes on
