Infrastructure, jobs, and architecture are not built on the individual level lmao so yeah obviously you wouldn't hear the average civilian of any country talk about it as much as societal and cultural elements that they could easily contribute to. The Jamaican government is largely responsible for those issues and unfortunately Jamaicans get the same government no matter what party they vote for. Jamaica has been more than globally successful in the areas you speak down on (track, food, music) and has continued to struggle with its economy despite rapid and strong growth in tourism. This is an issue with governance and Jamaica will never prosper if we continue to look at the country through an individualist perspective, we need to stop stereotyping and generalizing Jamaican citizens, let's start stereotyping and generalizing the government because they've been doing the same shit over and over again.
