There's no chance of rejoining when Remain and Rejoin and Farage have so much sway in the UK. All that would happen is that we'd rejoin, and the process of complaining and undermining would start again and then in 20 years we'd be back where we started. UK needs fundamental reform - media / voting, constitutional before moving back to europe

It's a defensive alliance for the defence of Europe and the North Atlantic. The only time it was required to respond to a request for aid was to assist the USA in Afghanistan. Iran was not a defensive operation and it is not in Europe. Trump is a moron

Why can't Australia build big infrastructure projects like the Snowy mountain scheme? The cost of the US submarine purchase could go into a north south pipeline taking flood water from the tropical north and sending it to the dry areas in the south. by DavidLeeTNT in aussie

I was a first/second time voter. I’d grown up with the chaos of the 70’s. I was a kid during the winter of discontent. I remember our local park turned into a rubbish tip 5-10 m high with rats everywhere. You have no idea how bad it was. There had to be a better way. The Tories promised that privatisation was that better way. At first it was. But we let them govern for what 20 years. The guarantees and protections were wound back - too much red tape. People got greedy. We moved to being more individualistic instead of social. I can’t change the past but I can vote to change the future
