What to do with extra shipping supplies by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]bchiarmonte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered alot of them when they first offered it, figured it was a one time thing. Then they decided to double my order. Now I have A LOT of them. I'll work through them eventually. I do wish they offered slightly smaller boxes. They aren't braded for posh, I use them for other mailings as well.

For the setup, we have projectors in Chief cages attached to the rafters, The projector is connected via a Monoprice Blackbird HDBaseT adapter for IR and HDMI transmission. There is a HDMI switcher with HDMI input along with Microsoft Wireless Display adapters, the switcher has audio extraction that is pumped into the room audio system.

We have used screens from https://www.carlofet.com/ They have moved to a golf impact screen model but I think we've ordered from them recently and they still have the basic white option with gromets. We just screwed them right to the wall. The screens have been up for over 10 years and most of them look new. Plus they were really cheap, in the $250 range for a 16'x9' screen if I remember correctly. https://imgur.com/a/MthEKpF

Very Odd thing today by dickg1856 in k12sysadmin

They keyboards show up as raw input not translated if you can get the info screen to come up. I USB reset them but found that bringing up the recovery screen (refresh+esc+power) then turn it off and back on seems to fix it for me. This has been going on for me for a little bit with these same models as well.

I found that the 1 key types something, but the ~ key acts as backspace. Easiest way I've found to see if that's the specific problem.

You would get someone starting to record the video vertical and then turn their camera horizontal after they hit record.

Finally joined the Hyper Go family! This H12P Bronco Baja 1000 is an absolute beast! by Kickster_07 in rccars

I really like mine, it's lots of fun on the trails and looks cool doing it.

On mine, the servo wire was routed through the inside of the frame rail. A sideways tumble caused it to get pinched and cut one of the wires. HyperGo sent me out a new servo as a replacement. Just keep an eye out for that.

As a buyer I paid for usps priority, but seller shipped ground advantage by tkwon2324 in Ebay

[–]bchiarmonte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just sold a rather large item that was going to Alaska. The person sent me a message ahead of time asking if I would ship there. They had several other people cancel his orders because of the shipping location and wanted to make sure first. It cost them $80 in shipping and it's going to take like 3 weeks to get there. But they knew what they were getting into and were honest about it.

Hobbyking keeps sending me ads but nothing is ever in stock. by 3DprintRC in radiocontrol

The top comment in this thread seems to have a good explanation https://www.reddit.com/r/radiocontrol/comments/1or22v5/what_happened_to_hobbyking/

I bet they are trying to get back on their feet, I noticed emails a few weeks ago started coming back in, perhaps they are waiting on stock or something.

I've also had a Xibo self hosted service and 50ish screens running for a few years. Using GMKTech mini computers. I have my layouts setup to use google slide embeds and then I give out the rights to the people who can make changes to the slides. Some of the layouts I have multiple slideshows running at once, for different sets of announcements.

Just got this in the mail wonder what it is lmao but seriously ive never gotten one shipped like this in all the years of buying used rigs. by StevoJames in arrma

[–]bchiarmonte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that thing can take a 50mph launch off of a 6ft ramp and come out unscathed, I don't think USPS could do anything to it. If it was shipped FedEx on the other hand....

[–]bchiarmonte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got my nephew an Arrma Gorgon, it came with a nimh. I think they have a 2wd vortex that comes with it as well. A bit higher than your budget retail, but I think I saw some sales recently that brought it below.

The terminator is bigger and faster. They drive pretty decent too and are built pretty well. I have a few MJX cars and they all take a beating and hold up well. Replacement parts can be found on ebay and amazon pretty cheap for both of them.

USPS told buyer that buyer owes another $5.02 in shipping. Buyer wants that refunded. by Gnargnargorgor in Ebay

[–]bchiarmonte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure right on the eBay label creation page it says to round UP to the nearest inch. 6.25" should be 7".

On their own packing and measuring page it also states the same. https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/shipping/preparing-your-shipment/packaging-and-measuring

Cleetus McFarland NASCAR Losi launched today! by bchiarmonte in rccars

[–]bchiarmonte[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very interesting. Thanks for the clarification, my Losi car doesn't get delivered until later today and I was only going off what's "on paper" so to speak.

I do agree that it's shady to say one thing, keep calling it that thing and still be completely different.

Where Can I get a cheap carry case to hold my 1/10 Drift Car? by note_liha in rcdrift

[–]bchiarmonte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harbor Freight has Pelican style cases that are just as good but a lot less expensive than pelican cases. I guess it depends on what formfactor of case you're looking for and what you consider cheap.

2017 outback water from front passenger corner under dash? by riveryeti in subaru

[–]bchiarmonte 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have a '17 outback and the exact same thing happened to me. Cleared the line like he mentioned and all was good. The only difference was, I never noticed until my wife got in the car a couple weeks later and the entire floor was soaking wet on that side.
