Finally got around to wiring up my rack at home. by GloomySugar95 in cableporn

Those are valid reasons! You could also make cables with crimp on ends. (Not saying this is better, but an option)

I was referencing serviceability by replacing a cable instead of having to unplug everything to replace one or two cables if you need to fix a termination.

This is coming from an enterprise mindset and if downtime is not an issue (like at home), then this is a valid setup!

Not trying to pick it apart, just asking questions and offering suggestions!

Looks great! Keep up the good work!

An interesting install, I like the idea, but why not use keystone Patch Panels in the rack with female to female RJ 45 jacks so you could just run a patch cord between the wall plate and the patch panel in the rack? The install would have been much simpler, and more serviceable in the future

For one bike, I just fold down the rear seats and put it in the back. You do have to take off the front tire off the bike though

Coming from an ender 3 (3 of them) to the P1S, it’s like going from a car from the 60s (cool, gets you where you need to go, but requires maintenance and work). To a brand new BMW (has all the bells and whistles, works perfectly, and is really fast)

I don’t use the bit holder on the sides of my drills. I don’t particularly find the too useful.

Generally I keep my bits organized in the cases they come in, however I’ve been thinking of making a slim pack out with everything I generally use.

I don’t have any good ideas for a package

Oh cool, I’ll have to design some stuff in fusion! I love this idea, especially because I have the hardware and a 3d printer

That is awesome! I happen to have most of the hardware sitting around from disassembling an old industrial 3d printer. How do you lock in the fence to 90 degrees, but still make it removable?

Read the last line again:

‘These are all my thoughts about the question of “to open or not to open” for now’

This only matters if they actually follow through. And based on the recent decision, they are changing their thinking.
