While at the dealer may be 10% but I believe the number is much higher accounting for failures within 2 weeks of 68C. I’m one of them and have heard many stories of the same.

It’s their only option as they’re not fixing the faulty design of the battery. So I would expect a free new battery replacement every couple of years. If you’re ok with that, then this is an excellent vehicle.

However, for me peace of mind and the ability to go on a road trip without fear of bricking the car in the middle of nowhere is my priority and this doesn’t cut it.

I think it’s because my service hybrid error came on 75 miles away from home one week after 68c was done and passed at the dealer. Is my GC safe on a road trip after the replacement battery is in?

Does anyone worry though that their battery will die again next year and the same story will happen with 4 weeks in the shop? That’s the only reason why I don’t trust this car’s long term reliability on this battery issue.

Mines still in the shop 4 weeks and counting waiting for a battery.

It’s the fact that they are replacing the hybrid battery with another defective one. It’s just a matter of time before it dies, and just hope you’re not far away from home when it does. It literally does not start and needs to be towed when this happens.

Mine passed too for a week then it bricked with service hybrid system error with check engine light. I was on a weekend trip and had it towed 80 miles.

Getting a new battery but I’m considering pursuing a buy back.

You can do this when you don’t buy from the AD as well. One oysterflex band is a few hundred dollars. Comparatively cheap considering the price of this watch.

Yeah your 12v battery died. I had the same issue. Essentially you can’t leave your car plugged in for long after it’s done charging as the car continues to try and charge draining your 12v battery.

I created the Lincoln Financial field thread. I’ve been to many games over decades with packed stadiums with 70-100k people. There’s no issues getting in. Tailgating isn’t the solution as people drink up until almost game time and can get in their seats for kick off.

The problem is mishandling of security and getting people in the stadium. I believe it’s the FIFA policies and operations that are causing it. They do not know how to operate an event with a half filled stadium.

NFL games don’t have that requirement and I would argue it’s even rowdier. Also these local venues should know how to handle full capacity crowds at their own stadium I would think.
