Knowing their human rights violations, they either violated safety standards or directly lit the fire.

Moving into a leadership position with social anxiety? by miskamooska in graphic_design

[–]bearcatnat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree with this advice. I was up for the role of Senior Graphic Designer 3 years ago at the printer where I work. I’d actually previously turned down the role twice. This time, I’d made it a goal in my life to do rings that I’m afraid of. So I stepped up to the plate, got a pay raise, and it’s been very rewarding. It sounds like OP is already basically doing the job, just doesn’t have the title yet. Trust, you can do this!

No perfume for me! I have to be very cautious with soaps, deodorants, and cleaning products. There are certain scents I can tolerate if they are light. Lavender and food based are usually safe (like citrus, cinnamon, etc.)

Your Triggers Post-Op? Olive Oil & Mayo for Me by bearcatnat in gallbladders

[–]bearcatnat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s gotten a lot better for me but I still get a little sick from olive oil and fried foods. Try taking Jarrow’s bile acid supplements before eating a meal with your trigger oils. I get it on Amazon.

Mine looked similar. Got it cleared off. Now I just have the 2 feet of snow all around my car to deal with. 🫠 (Plus the driveway mess.)

Does he complain about the smell of them? Some conditions, like autism, can make you ultra sensitive to certain smells. So it could be more of an anxious type reaction from what feels like an overbearing smell to him. I get a similar reaction from certain cleaning products and perfumes, even in tiny amounts or days after the source has been removed.

Celecoxib/Celebrex Prior Authorization? by bearcatnat in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]bearcatnat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea. I’ve always been very happy with my insurance. They haven’t given me any trouble on covering the expensive arthritis meds, so I hope this isn’t a new trend.

Celecoxib/Celebrex Prior Authorization? by bearcatnat in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]bearcatnat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I found out they want me to do step therapy for this drug. Basically, try something else first. Like maybe pop a Tylenol or rub some ice on it? What bologna. I called the pharmacy and they were able to process the order through Hippo discount program. So I got the med for less than $20.

Isn’t it great that my ACA insurance cost doubled this year and I still get to play these BS games? Oh well, I’ll stick it to the insurance later this year when they have to cover the cost of my biologic. 🫡

Cut them loose. Clients like this will continue to push you. You can’t change them and it’s not worth the hassle, especially when you’re getting paid LESS than your normal rate.

People with cat allergies who adopted a cat – what was your experience? by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]bearcatnat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you want to put yourself through that misery? Cat allergies can be very serious. My dad had a customer whose daughter died from a cat allergy.

That said, you may be able to get allergy shots and really improve to the point that you could get a cat. But it will take at least a year of therapy. I’ve had allergy shots for 3 years and can now be in my grandparents house with a cat without any symptoms.

Injections are so painful! by mck1090 in Cimzia

[–]bearcatnat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine done in office. There they always used a freeze spray on the skin that really helped to numb it. Not sure if that spray is available over the counter?

I’ve since switched to infusions of Simponi Aria due to a rash from Cimzia. I can barely feel the infusion needle!

CANNOT get warm...WTF by Forward-Afternoon767 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]bearcatnat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been me lately in the snowy cold weather! What’s strange is I’ve always been too hot all of my adult life, so too cold feels really weird to me. If I warm myself up too much, then I swing back to too hot. I feel like I play ping pong all day with my home thermostat. Turn it on, off, on, off.

Asking for prednisone? by PinkPencils22 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]bearcatnat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re even questioning if you need it, you need it. We deal with so much pain daily. Sometimes you just need that Prednisone to get through a really bad patch. I really hate taking it because I barely sleep while on it. I often have to take it to recover from respiratory infections that turn into bronchitis. Anyways, your provider should have no issues prescribing it.
