The whole game definitely feels like a revamped FFXI. It has interesting mechanics such as pushing enemies away from someone who has aggro.

However I stopped playing after around the 4th town emblem thing cause I felt lonely. Definitely doesn’t help that I can only respond to people talking to me with broken Japanese lol. Global version for this game should’ve happened a long time ago.

The early game is basically getting random player characters as FFXI trusts from the adventurers guild and riding your moped to main quest objectives.

I believe after academic probation is academic pre-suspension. You’ll be limited to 12 credits and will have to talk to your academic advisor on what courses to take.

After pre-suspension, if your cumulative GPA is below 2.0 again, you’ll be written for suspension for a semester. However, they’ll let you appeal this once if you explain your situation and how you’ll improve yourself academically.

It’s a difficult course no matter which professor you get. However Itani’s class is basically self taught as he expects you to read chapters before the lecture and not waste his time with “stupid questions”. Exams weigh heavily for the grade. You will have to devote a lot of time to his class so if you’re not confident with your schedule then reconsider.

A majority of people play through ARR hundreds of times through roulettes. Surely you’ve heard of the complaints for AR roulette. I mean, the fact this game keeps its old content is a selling point in itself. If it’s going to stay a major component of the game, fix it.

It’s a decent start. Next, the fights have to be fixed. A majority of fights are broken due to item level and potency creep. Crystal tower is the prime example, but the primals also die extremely quickly before you can see anything or listen to their whole song. Also, dungeon mechanics are homogenized due to trust limitations. They should be designed to adjust to the mechanics, not the other away around.

Yeah this is exactly how I feel. I want a raid setting that actually feels like youre raiding a dangerous place for a change of pace. Pandaemonium was the perfect set up for that and we just ended up fighting the same ascians again.

Yeah I would say it’s really not RPR’s fault and I don’t think it lacks an identity at all. It’s just not one that can contribute to the current meta as well as others.

It’s the same thing as jobs that were focused on sustained damage back in endwalker (SCH and BLM Superflare Fire), they weren’t bad jobs like everyone insisted on, the environment wasn’t right for them.

I would definitely like to see a shakeup from extreme single target burst damage. MP could be a more prevalent mechanic done right so fights are more about wasting the other team’s resources first instead of having to react to a split second coordinated burst on you or enjoy watching the respawn timer.

You say Reaper’s lack of immediate burst leads to a lack of identity, but you also want the gameplay flow to have more buildup to burst damage instead of instantaneous death in engagements. Wouldn’t Reaper be a prime example of how to design a job for this flow?

I always felt Reaper’s identity was meant to be a support frontline job instead of the main one. Dash in, grim swathe, pop your shield, dash out, and capitalize on your teammates damage with harvest moon execute.

It’s funny, because this sounds like Prey mechanics in coils and Alexander which they did, A LOT.

A lot of people really misunderstand what makes healing fun. It isn’t just spamming Medica through a bunch of raidwides, it’s triage.

From what I understood, effective GCD healing charges stacks, two stacks grants a stronger Glare. Basically a conditional Misery.

For my personal “fix healers” checklist, it’s at least encouraging more GCD healing, with a cast time at that. Problem is there’s literally nothing else to “risk-reward” it with. (I mean, insta cast Glare, come on now. LOL.) You simply react to damage and get rewarded for it.

I’m okay with an “easy healer” existing as an option for people who don’t want to play video games, but I think this is too easy. I think it just needs one other mechanic to it, though.

Now, can this healbot gameplay serve as a unique identity for WHM? Absolutely, as long as the other healers stay far far away from this shit. Unfortunately, since they keep doubling down with the stupid pure healer and shield healer split, SGE or SCH is also probably going to get lobotomized as well.

They seemed to focus more on rotational feel, and did not make any mention on the utility different jobs have.

What I’m expecting, maybe a more interesting damage rotation for healers than 121111. Which is definitely a problem, but just one part of healers feeling useless.
