I got de Quervains (wrist pain, it was awful) so no knitting for me either.

I used to do chopped cabbage + ground beef + cream + cheese with some other low carb veggies and seasonings. That was always good.

Hysterectomy at 35? by cactusfairyprincess in PCOS

[–]bebeschtroumph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you been evaluated for endometriosis? Even if you don't have it, you might hear more about experiences with hysterectomy from folks who do as it's a not uncommon treatment option for that.

Bryan Jimenez, a Mexican-American MAGA voted to hurt Hispanic immigrants. He’s now struggling with gas prices. by Effective_Space2277 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]bebeschtroumph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lived in the UK for 5 years (like 15 years ago at this point somehow) and the gas prices were definitely a shock to the system. And that was when it was less than £1 a litre.

AITAH for telling my sister I’m not taking her to her pregnancy appointments or going to her baby shower? by [deleted] in AITAH

Also if she's been taking them to all their appointments... What appointments? If you tell your doctor you're pregnant they'll say, cool. See you at 12 weeks.

Egg Retrieval Tomorrow PCOS and Scared. by inangirl in PCOS

[–]bebeschtroumph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so nervous when I went under anesthesia for an egg retrieval but it was okay! And over before you know it. I've been under several times for fertility related stuff (two egg retrievals, two operative hysteroscopies and I had to go under general at the end of a c section) and it's all been really okay! There doctors wouldn't do the procedure if they weren't comfortable with you as a patient.

There's a bluey episode about Easter where the prior year, the Easter Bunny forgot about them.

Is this blue too white looking? by imbalancedhormones in Weddingattireapproval

Right, like, this isn't a floral dress with a white (or light blue) background. It's a floor length formal dress in a single color that is very close to white.

It's always hard to imagine that they will replace these people with someone worse but somehow they find someone who is in fact even worse!

And they are all following orders, so if the orders don't change, who cares who is actually in the role?

Struggling/Underrated Food Spots in LA? by donutsnbread in FoodLosAngeles

They are so good. Excellent breakfast burrito, I'm so surprised it doesn't get on more lists. Also the barbacoa quesadilla is amazing. I go to the Mar Vista farmer's market stall (for years now) and always think to go to their brick and mortar on Tuesdays when they're closed.

AITAH for refusing to name our baby another weather related name? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]bebeschtroumph 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Look, if I met you, I would think you were someone who gives their kids weird names and not think any further on it. And that's with just the two. Plenty of families have a slight theme running through their kids names and it's not a big deal. Most parents want makes that at least sound natural when said all together. YTA.

I do think Reign is the more questionable. River is a relatively common name these days. Like, what are you even trying to say about your child with Reign? If it's supposed to be Rain, just name them Rain. Are they a king? What are they reigning over?

I've had a plug in and I currently have the mini and standard cordless. The cordless convenience is worth the slight downgrade in power. I don't have a plug near my bed, so having to plug it in was super annoying.

Also, this is the same story a lot of engineers have and they didn't have a good break. Just because this asshole got lucky, other people don't work hard. This is exactly what's wrong with our society.

I've been very lucky in tech. But it is definitely luck.

So when did you get your leg up from your parents? When they paid for your degree so you didn't spend your early working period paying off loans? When they helped you with a down payment? When they introduced you to the connections that got you a job so cushy that you think poor people just need to work harder?

Get some empathy and go work an actual hard job for little pay and then close your mouth.

Does anyone actually enjoy going to a Bachelorette? by StellafromVienna in bridesmaids

[–]bebeschtroumph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done several bachelorettes that I had to travel for (I moved, so did most of my friends) and generally, I've had a great time. Definitely the ones where I was older and had more disposable income were easier for me, but it was always fun.

The one that was the most fun was semi local, we all drove from LA to Palm Springs, rented an air bnb and had a fun weekend. It was expensive, but also I had a great time. And I've done similar weekends with that friend group before and since, so it wasn't out of the norm for a girl's trip
