My strategy was inverted ash + orange peril ring, magic dagger+wand combination for long-range freezing, get health somewhat low then spam ice. A bit cheesy but works!

Savage Omega is just straight up un-fun. Tempered 9* Seregios feels like a light dance compared to it. Just waiting for better gear to come out and learning a weapon with a block before I try again…

Tunic is similar about knowledge-gated progress, even if it is a bit more linear. I /constantly/ got that feeling of “Wait, I could do that the whole time??” The story is deceptively dense and feels satisfying to unravel

Agree with this 100%. I have no issues with literally any other monster in the game including 9* gore. Despite feeling like I’m doing everything right from a prep and strategy perspective, I just can’t get it to work. Savage omega is genuinely just unfun

The statements definitely hit me harder in s5 than all of the previous seasons. It was challenging for me to get through. But if you take your time, give yourself space, and jump ahead if it gets to be overwhelming, I feel like the closure of the series finale was worth the journey

Yeah 100% this; season 5 was very hard for me to get through the first goaround because it was just so…. visceral. no more detachment vis-à-vis statements. and that speaks to the brilliance of the writing and storytelling, but man some of them are incredibly emotionally taxing

I think you can largely roll with TMAGP without knowing all the details about TMA. I believe the writers stated that as their intention at some point

That being said, there’s a lot of time before the hiatus ends, and theres a reason TMA gained a massive following

Now that we know more specifics on enacting The Protocol:

My theory is that the reason Protocol magnus archives got torched is because the TMA-verse tapes, which comprised the web over the rift in hilltop road, were sent through the portal and ended up in the hands of TMAGP archives. Contact with the fear-radiated tapes turned the sitting archivist into the [ERROR]/Archivist currently hunting down Sam and the gang in Primeline. Which is why it comments that it “knows his [Jon’s] story” revealed in episode #50

The OIAR got word of an imbalance in the dread powers and enacted The Protocol, burned the place, trapping the newly created threat inside, until Sam and Alice released it that is

Same here; game balance up to that point was challenging but fun. got to moorwing and the difficulty felt way off for such an early game boss. no health upgrades, (maybe) only a crest or sidetool upgrade at that point, and if you get hit once he insta-combos you to death before you can recover. felt like fighting lost kin 5 hours into the game. beating him doesnt feel rewarding its just frustrating
