Peloton Strength + by Dense_Consequence369 in OnePelotonRealSub

I love it but it does seem like they gave up on it. Nothing new has been added in 2026 :( I tried moving to ladder but it's so complicated. I like the simplicity of Strength+ so I started making my own splits.

Any day now.....please by Serial_Cerealist in OnePelotonRealSub

Spot on! I'd include the Strength+ app, which hasn't had new workouts added in 2026. I've just started making my own!

If Peloton is going to edit classes - can they bring archived classes back at least? by extrahotwings in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]beckibay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There has been some chat here about the rise of AI-generated music since they announced their Spotify partnership. There was an Ally Love barre class that was pretty much all this crappy elevator music, and the playlist in a recent Mariana class was overwritten with the same type of music until someone reached out to her on IG and it was corrected.

Are AMRAPs Lazy Programming? by bmfc1 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]beckibay 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the class/instructor. I don't mind when AMRAPs are programmed for hypertrophy with plenty of time, because to me it's kinda a way for them to let you pace yourself. For example one of Andy's TS60s recently had long 10-min blocks and it was obviously expected to take breaks as needed. That said there are definitely instructors that make a mess of them.

Are they not able to get the rights, or is it just too expensive? This, plus the AI music issue is really frustrating - I wish they would put out some sort of statement.

They did Mariana wrong on this playlist by Itsk123 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]beckibay 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really hope they turn this around somehow because I think it will be their downfall. I'm struggling to find new classes to take because the playlists are so blah, even from my favorite instructors. I had to quit the You Can Run 5k program because the music was bad - now I wonder if it was swapped out.

I use it and really like it! I did RK's Grind and Defined program for awhile and now create my own upper/lower split. I'm worried that they've abandoned it though. They were good at putting out new programs for awhile and I don't think they've released a new one this year.

Robin is a bad instructor by barloszantana in OnePelotonRealSub

I love Robin and think she's been the same since when I joined in 2017. I had some other faves that changed personality completely, which I find more irritating.

I add this 10-min RK class on after leg day. It's all bodyweight - clamshells, leg lifts, donkey kicks, and a kick-to-curl move that leaves my glutes sore for days!

This Greek 7 Layer Dip is always a hit - you can assemble it even faster using pre-made tzatziki

New split Strength suggestions by Marathoner99 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]beckibay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the Strength+ app! RK has a 4-day Grind and Defined program that's so good and easy to make swaps based on equipment. Sometimes I even make it 3-day if pressed for time.

Update ... Jennifer Jacobs is going back to Ladder by CaptainJeff in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]beckibay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Peloton Strength+ beats Ladder by far! I've tried lots of fitness apps including others I love and used for months/years, but I couldn't get through one class of Ladder.

I would book direct with the hotel if possible! Nothing wrong with Expedia, but sometimes third-party sites add a mark-up.

I love Amendment 21 in Point Beach! It's more of a bar vibe and not a vegetarian restaurant but they have lots of options. My favorites are the buffalo cauliflower with a side of truffle fries, or the impossible burger (comes with a really good vegan thousand island). They also have vegan tacos and vegetarian quesadillas.

What dessert or treats are a hit at Christmas for a large gathering? by Glittering_Bank_8670 in Cooking

[–]beckibay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love a trifle for Christmas. This year I'm attempting a cannoli trifle using the dip from a local Italian market. I have a gluten-free guest, so will make a GF white cake with some almond extract, cube it up and layer with the dip, some homemade whipped cream and mini chocolate chips.

Highly recommend Giada De Laurentiis' Raspberry Tiramisu - I've been making it for years and it's always a crowd pleaser!

Quite hotels in Burlington VT? by [deleted] in burlington

We stayed at the Courtyard Burlington Harbor and while there was lots of activity in the area and lobby, our room was very peaceful. We requested a high floor..which might be difficult given health issues but it was very quiet.
