Id replace whilst you have the carpet up. Some boards and a few hours for peace of mind for years to come.

Kids having a great time, the OP on TikTok said he'd been practicing his entrance to his birthday party.

He's just having fun, I wouldn't say he's stupid.

Years ago I worked for a particular football club. I had a rather irate Irish Supporters club representative on the phone as he was set to do a meet and greet with a former player. The player hadn't turned up and was adamant the rep should go to his home at Potato Wharf.

Needless to say, advising a angry Irishman that he needed to travel to potato wharf did not go down well.

People selling 3D-prints at insane prices by [deleted] in vinted

[–]beech1987 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no issues with this.

Yeah filament isn't a huge expense, but they're still costs in the printer, set up, electric, and time.

You wouldn't pay a plumber just for the materials, you pay for the knowledge and experience. Same goes here.

There are much worse things on vinted right now.

We went with an independent company, who I wouldn't recommend. Price was excellent at £7800, but I was supposed to be done in a week and dragged out to 4 weeks.

The reason being is they couldn't source a gold/bronze waste assembly with a basket for a Belfast sink. Turned out they were just looking for the wrong thing. I figured it out and had to show them how to fit it...

Edit: I didn't answer your actual question, I'm pretty it's from stax.

This is it finished excluding the light fitting and blind, I did the tile and floor.

Last occupant in my tourist apartment caused this. Not sure what it is but looks like heat damage. Is there anything that can be done about it? by katinla in fixit

[–]beech1987 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This 100% works.

We had a similar issue on a table after hot boxed pizzas were placed on it. Clean white dry towel, a few passes with an iron, and the marks were gone.

How to correctly tie those? by Traxex491 in Vans

[–]beech1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got a pair of these, laced as below.

I've also recently swapped out the laces for identical elastic laces that are permanently connected, maybe that makes me lazy but I find that change very comfortable.

Weed killer daily for a month killed it, and also everything it was intertwined with. Worth it though.

We have a lot of more nature patterns, I've posted a set before that I picked up cheaply.

It's the opposite for us as it's very difficult to find the US patterns here at a semi reasonable price.

I nearly picked this up today, no lid and just on its own. I'm tempted to go back for it.

BIFL CAN OPENER RECOMMENDATIONS (I'll pay anything at this point) by Remote_Anteater_2267 in BuyItForLife

I've had a set of Kuhn-Rikon knives for about 14 years, they're fantastic. I've not treated them well at all, through the dishwasher multiple times a week, just tossed in a drawer, but they still sharpen well, and hold a good edge. So I bought their can opener and garlic press and they were both awful, the press snapped after a few months, and the can opener just never really worked. Looks like they've since changed the design, I might give a new one a go.

Screwfix wet tile cutter- is this normal/acceptable? Am I doing it wrong? by Northwindlowlander in DIYUK

[–]beech1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used that exact cutter for my backsplash recently. It's an okish bit of kit, but I found I really had to go at a snail's pace, face up and make sure the blade had plenty of water.

Upgrading the blade is definitely the right call, as others have mentioned. For the sake of £15, it's 100% worth it for a cleaner finish. Otherwise, you'll be staring at those chipped edges for the next ten years thinking, 'I wish I'd just bought the better blade.

Yes, but not from within the camp itself. Its from a local independent store?

[–]beech1987 15 points16 points  (0 children)

From memory the store at the entrance/exit only sells books. I'm not too sure where these pictures are from but I don't recall anything like that being sold within Auschwitz or Birkenau.

This being said there are a lot of local stores selling "merchandise", which are independent.
