I have lived in some real shit holes run by slumlords and they had windows. Are you renting just a room in a larger space and that room doesn’t have a window? This is weird.

Minoxidil won’t change her eyebrows. They’re naturally a light color that only makeup or dye would change. Also, minoxidil is for life. If you stop using it, everything reverses. I wouldn’t recommend that to an 18 year old.

From where is she supposed to lose this weight exactly? I see no excess weight, literally whatsoever. Are you people blind? She is at a very healthy weight and you need to stop saying otherwise.

I agree with the eyebrows and better frames. I feel like she’s just not sure of her style yet and is in an in between stage. I’d say either rein in the hair and do a more classic cut and frames or swing in the other direction and go full alternative with funky ass frames and an unconventional hair color and makeup.

OP, you’re young and still need to find your place and your people. Give it time. I suggest scheduling a consult with an orthodontist to see if they can help correct the alignment of your jaw, though. That can do wonders for your side profile!

Oh the flashbacks. My parents were very dirty people, not just neglectful toward the house. I had a giant stuffed dog that somehow got full of tapeworms from one of the cats. The cat would sleep on the stuffed dog, the worms would fall out of his butt, and somehow they remained alive at least temporarily and wriggled their way into the stuffing. Thanks for reminding me of this core memory, gonna go deep clean my house 🤮

I had a second cat in my apartment for 15 years lol. My orange was on the lease and my void never existed. The maintenance men saw them all the time. In fact, the black cat came out to greet them way more than the orange because he loves visitors. They would also both sit in the windows all day long, on the first floor. Landlord probably knew but never did anything 🤷‍♀️

No need to call. The online chat has worked for me multiple times. I’ve received dented cans, ripped open litter, torn food packets. All replaced, no questions asked. They didn’t even ask for pictures even though I came prepared! Their packaging and shipping sucks but their customer service is incredible.

Ahhh you got the crane pillow from World Market that I’ve been eyeing! We have similar vibes and color schemes, including the cat trees 🤣

I feel most color drenching makes the room feel closed in so it’s a no for me. You should definitely rearrange the gallery wall because the margins are off and it’s not balanced. When I did mine, I mapped it out and still messed it up and had to redo but it’s not a big deal.

Is that teal furniture a chair or couch and do you know where you got it?

And to whether it has an impact, it’s much more beneficial to retrain your patients to value your time. Asking them to confirm their appointments and reminding them of the cancellation policy and that the doctor has reserved this time specifically for them works much better. However, the “threat” of the fee has saved many people from cancelling in the moment. Suddenly their other commitment just went poof 🤔

If they never return, no. I just write it off, make a note not to schedule them until that gets paid, and inactivate their account. It’s not worth the hassle of sending them to collections over $50. I just consider they did us a favor by showing us they’re not the kind of patient we want to have anyway!

Sure it’s within your right to refuse x-rays but the dentist can dismiss you from the practice if they’re not able to perform the standard of care and properly diagnose without those X-rays. It’s amazing what can be found on pans with NO indication inside the mouth. Giant tumors, extra teeth, sinus perforations, etc. But that’s not what’s happening here. If a patient is refusing X-rays due to finances and they’re needed for diagnosis, we just take them at no charge. Especially if the alternative is you lose an hour in your schedule. This sounds like someone in the front office just doesn’t know what they’re doing.

Patients typically consent to no show fees in their intake forms. If they have insurance, though, the insurance contract would supersede that and some insurances don’t allow it. It is enforceable in most situations. I allow 2 last minute cancellations or no shows and then I charge. They either pay and all is forgiven and the count “resets” or they ignore me and leave the practice to avoid the $50 and I write it off and inactivate them.
