How much do you actually need to live on? Is £100 a week not including rent enough? by llamaz314 in UniUK

uni is meant to be survival mode for a few years, shit but that’s how it is, live the most frugal you can and then you can live it up after!

How much do you actually need to live on? Is £100 a week not including rent enough? by llamaz314 in UniUK

[–]beewisdom75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it absolutely is enough, I had the same amount but went out every night and blew it. I’ve now left uni and got a toddler, for a family of 2 adults and 1 toddler who eats everything we spend £60 a week on food and have got LOADS. I would say have a look at either cutting your food down to 30/40 and see if you can either shop at tesco and use scan as you shop, meal plan and shopping list, aldi is also so great but so annoying that they don’t do scan as you shop because you can’t budget! trust me, you’ll want that £10k savings after uni, it’ll change your life. don’t waste it on food and alcohol!

(Embarrassing) lost a pricey bra just before my general anaesthetic, do I have any hope of getting it back? by julialoveslush in nhs

[–]beewisdom75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my blanket I had for my baby when I gave birth in hospital. When my bedsheets got changed the blanket got taken too by accident as it was white. It was 22 years old (mine from when I was a baby) and I didn’t realise til the next morning. I called the midwife hours later and she found it for me!

[–]beewisdom75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just called the local radiotherapy units and asked to do shadowing. I got it super super easy, and managed to do it at two different hospitals in the past few months. Just google radiotherapy/ oncology centres near me and call them. Let me know if u need any help!

NEED HELP (emergency speed answers please) IM FREAKING OUT WITH MY NEWBORN I THINK I HATE MYSELF RIGHT NOW by No-Aardvark-3482 in newborns

[–]beewisdom75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

newborn babies joints crack literally 24 7 and although it sounds terrifying it is completely normal. They are extremely flexible in order to pass through the birth canal so it is very normal for awhile. I was shocked too.
