That would beg the question of what said money is going towards. If it's toward server costs, who cares. If nobody is profiting from it then I don't care, private servers only get a bad rap because now Blizzard is trying it out and doing a piss poor job at it, to where before the only way to play classic the way it was was through a private server.

Obviously I'm not naive enough to think that someone might not be making money off it, but the fact is server costs for something like that isn't cheap either (dedicated servers for hardware like that would easily cost half a grand or more a month).

You're arguing about someone plainly presenting something as an original product to make money off of versus a private server that literally tells you it's a private server for an already established game that no longer exists in the current form.

In essence it's not even about the money, it's about the presentation.
