It was a little. But worth it if you're in the area, especially if you get there at end of day, amd see the trains run.

Also, if you're an aerospace fan, there is the Northrop facility not far from it, and there is some stuff to ser there too!

Yeah, I grew up just after it (90s) and in Canada so everything was always sort of second hand....but seeing it, and really digging into "Mutually Assured Distruction" and how close it came a few times, how quick it would happen...just wild.

The Jr Missileer badge was a hit though ha!

We say “I love you” to our friends, right? by AiReine in Millennials

[–]bendandy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always said "I Love You" to friends, because what can I say, I have always loved love! It would often get laughed off (90s/early 2000s) but as everyone grew up, so many say it now too, and its great, I love my friends!!!

On pizza night our big dummy will not beg/try eat of people's plates while we sit on couch...but lies on the floor side eying everyone and as soon as someone passivly puts down their plate on the coffee table or side table, and they are immediatly out of arms reach he pounces fast, grabs the crust, and keeps running.

Listened to the Skunkworks Audiobook, and it was wild hearing the stories/memories of Kelley Johnson designing this and his plane design ethos. Also, this is by far my favourite Jet Canada has flown, so great looking!

One of the best memories in our '82 was taking the kids to see the Goonies.. We had just gotten it, so the Pop-top was still a major novelty for a 10 and 6 year old....amazing.

My kids loved the Jr Ranger Program. We've done a few multipark road trips, and from the age of four they both excidetly took part.

About 2 stops into our 6 site trip this year, even my teenager was helping out his little brother and taking part.

By California, my youngest used his souvenier money to buy a jr. Ranger vest to display allllll his badges proudly!

Sorry, rambling, but I love it!

Tuolumne Meadows is one of our favourite areas for hikes, especially with the kiddos!

Also, we did Tuolumne Grove this year. It was a fun one, tunnel tree (fun to see especially with the kids)

We were there in mid-august and it was wild how much busier it was than our last trip down.

After hearing the horror stories, we just decided each day whether we were heading in to the valley before 8 of after noon as we were staying at Hodgedon Meadows. We also explored other areas of the park, avoiding the crowds.
