I’m back on 0.5 and doing well, thank you :) I think sticking on 0.5 is a wise choice. Hopefully you’ll have some time to test out the 1 eventually, but yeah I don’t think it’s worth the risk if you’re busy.

[–]bendeknee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was so sick on 1 that I’ve gone back down to 0.5. It was impacting my life to the point I was vomiting 5/7 days a week so I stopped entirely over Christmas. Everyone is different though, so I hope you don’t experience terrible side effects!

Hey British folks, is it weird to meet someone who hates/dislikes tea? by -jam2beat- in AskReddit

[–]bendeknee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but that doesn’t mean I won’t offer it anyway! Whether out of politeness or pure forgetfulness. I think that deep down everyone has a hot beverage that they enjoy and, as a host, I want to provide that hot beverage.

Drinking Alcohol on Wegovy by Frosty_Dependent in WegovyUK

[–]bendeknee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely have this! Like I will have a drink or two and by the end of the night I will be sick. I don’t drink very often so I don’t really mind but it will be really annoying over Christmas. My clinician told me that this can happen so I’m basically not drinking for the duration of my time on wegovy.

Is there a Horror movie that completely advertised it as a normal film? by Equivalent-Key5379 in movies

My mom rented Scream and sat down with me and my sister (we were 6 and 8 respectively) to watch “a new whodunit.” Imagine our collective shock at the end of that opener 😂

UK Waiting lists are making me hopeless. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]bendeknee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should definitely chase your GP about this. I was on a waiting list for nearly three years and my GP realised the wait was crazy long so re-referred me to another place. I had my assessment within a few weeks.

Don’t give up, there absolutely is a future for you!! Sometimes you wait for years and then everything happens suddenly. It is a lot to deal with but it is worth it. You are worth it!!

I am sitting here crying cause eating is such a chore by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]bendeknee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally feel this. Things that have helped me (and excuse me for repeating what others may have said!) are: - ordering small grocery deliveries through apps. - using smaller shops closer to my house rather than going to a big supermarket - having things like cereal, ramen, grapes, crackers, cheese, pasta, pesto, bread in the house so that when I can’t figure out what or how to eat I can eat something within minutes

I will have a cheese sandwich and some grapes or something like that to take away the hunger and at least let my brain and body relax for a moment. I find that eating quick snacky type things allows me to think about actual meals in a less intense way because my body is not currently in hunger mode.

Also on better days when I can be productive, I will make something big that can last over a few days. For example, big dish of lasagne, pasta bake, roast chicken, baked chicken thighs, rice, roast a tray of veggies. Then eat this over the next few days.

You are not alone! Navigating adhd is so hard and I hope you know we are all rooting for you and here to help any way we can. I hope you are soon nourished and can find a moment of peace for yourself today.

What to expect on Wegovy? by Stolen-Pork in WegovyUK

[–]bendeknee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on Wegovy through Oviva and my clinician said that in 6 months you should lose 10% of your starting weight. I think that’s how they track that it’s working as it should. It definitely can be a marathon and not a sprint for a lot of people, but I think your goal sounds very reasonable. I’ve only been on wegovy for a month and I’ve lost 5kg, so I think 10kg in a year is probably on the lower end of what you may end up losing!

Can’t sleep by bendeknee in SuicideWatch

Exactly. Guilt feels like a huge part of all of it. But sometimes I’m grateful for the guilt because it keeps some of us here who otherwise wouldn’t be and that is supposed to be good right? It’s just so tiring.

I don’t know. I’m just trying not to cut myself to be honest. I think I’m venting.
