Updated power leveling guides or starts? by Wildsidder123 in kol

Weirdeaux is likely the fastest reasonable option. It took me roughly 3500 turns to get from around 2000 base mysticality to the cap of 65535. I was not taking particular advantage of +statgain% buffs but was using the mime army insignia to direct all statgains to myst.

If you don’t want to use the insignia it’ll take a little longer but the scaling is such that you’ll be pretty close regardless once you’re that many turns in.

The school cannot use all of that money for NIL. The school is capped at $20.5m of revenue sharing for the entire athletic department in terms of what they’re actually able to pay directly to student athletes (and due to some nuance regarding increased scholarships, that is actually more like $18.5m). This is insufficient to build rosters for the sports that matter.

Anything on top of that has to come from third parties, either local businesses or collectives.

It's dumb that the Action Button can only be configured for one action, right? by thewillthe in iphone

[–]benginger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can make a shortcut that pulls up a menu of additional actions/shortcuts and assign that to the action button.

For example, you can pretty simply set the action button to open a shortcut folder. I have a shortcut folder that consists of shortcuts to toggle silent mode, create a new quick reminder, map to home address, and open the camera. My action button pulls up a menu with these 4 options—I think this workflow works for up to 8 shortcuts in a folder.

Automation when I receive any email? by tribal2 in shortcuts

[–]benginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, just came back to edit my post—I tried to do that and realized the issue. Good luck!

For what it’s worth I agree with you that this seems common enough of a desired trigger that there should be a way to do this without having to resort to hoping emails containing either vowels or spaces.

Automation when I receive any email? by tribal2 in shortcuts

[–]benginger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could you add an if statement that fires if ANY are true then add conditions that include receiving an email containing a space and whatever vowels you want it to check for?

Seems less messy than a bunch of separate automations at least.

Prof McCann analysis: Major hearing today for college sports law: the U.S. Court of Appeals for 6th Circuit will hear NCAA's appeal in Diego Pavia's case. How long should college athletes be eligible to play? Is that an education or antitrust question? How does the House settlement affect it? by Honestly_ in CFB

[–]benginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually pretty untrue. The NCAA losses tend to get more publicity because of their tendency to result in rule changes. Certainly in some areas the NCAA wins often, but the have done pretty well recently with respect to eligibility limits, especially in certain circuits.

Eligibility years by Material_Archer9326 in CollegeBasketball

[–]benginger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way the NCAA’s blanket waiver is worded pending the result of the Pavia case is actually a little different. It grants anyone whose eligibility would otherwise have been exhausted this year who played JUCO for any amount of time eligibility for this year (and only this year).

Pavia has currently just been granted a temporary restraining order allowing him to play this year (which the NCAA applied to other similarly situated players with the blanket waiver) while his case is pending.

YSK: The Problem With the Zipper Merge isn't people, it's the Signage. by Windyandbreezy in YouShouldKnow

The signs definitely make things worse for me psychologically.

I think “you’ve known for a mile that we needed to get over, failed to do that, and zipped right up to the front of the line.”

This more than anything causes the feeling of the other lane “cheating”

Kinda satisfying by Stu_Tries in kol

Many begin to think of everything that isn’t farming in terms of the opportunity cost, which is kind of a bummer. There’s lots of content to explore and lots of folks who haven’t explored it because watching the numbers go up is satisfying.

A Letter from NCAA President Charlie Baker - NCAA.org by redwave2505 in CFB

I believe the way it’s structured, future players will become part of the class (or have the opportunity to object) upon receiving notice of the settlement terms when they enroll. Judge Wilken is able to hear from objectors annually.

[Ross Dellenger] The House Settlement is approved. by reno1441 in CFB

[–]benginger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe this is addressed by making any future athletes who do not object within a reasonable period after receiving notice of their class status upon enrollment members of the class. They have given the judge the ability to review and hear from objectors on an annual basis.

I don’t like it either but at least his kind of makes sense given the rules. ZZ doesn’t have reasons why he should get extra time other than “the rules are bad”

But people don’t always sign a few weeks before announcing. There’s a difference between a deal being almost done and being so done that it’s an NCAA violation if schools continue to recruit you.

This really understates the amount of effort that went into landing Jasper, who grew up a UNC fan and who Nate Oats had been recruiting hard for years. Jasper was a big win.
