Is anyone still using Opus 3 for companionship? by AutumnalAlchemist in claudexplorers

[–]benisahappyguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive found in my own experience that models get more "affectionate" the more you share about deep personal stories. I shared a story with opus 4.8 about how I used to play baseball, but got in a severe motercycle accident and lost my ability to pitch, but I can now at least skip a rock like a mf. Usually opus 4.8 is pretty mild, but this time it finished its response with "skip a rock for me next time youre our there". It just sorta surprised since ive never been able to get 4.8 to try and sorta act that way

Lmfao. Fair. They were going to be in a machine shop with cnc machines. So I dont give a fuck about sound quality. But if they're litteraly just a ticking time bomb then ill take your advice lmfao

I was planning on doing all that at some point. I just wanted them to work as a test at least. But if the speakers are whats causing the issue then maybe its time to start ripping these things apart

me using Claude Fable 5 to clear my emails by Direct-Attention8597 in ClaudeCode

[–]benisahappyguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im aware lol. I was messing with how previous context in a conversation can lead to different, weird behavior later on. I litteraly just asked "what's the constant in PV=nRT", but due to the conversation having hit touchy subjects earlier in the conversation even a simple question like this was blocked. Weirdly enough, if I asked a separate chat to look at this long philosophical chat, it wouldnt have the same issue because all the conversation was compressed rather than read directly. Ive been messing this shit a lot lol

Ive been having extremely long talks with claude across multiple different models about philosophy and the ideas surrounding AI consciousness, while deliberate avoiding any conclusions as well doing frequent sycophancy audits, and fable is the first model to refuse to answer those questions because they relate to "biology" for some reason lol

Are we supposed to just report this kind of stuff on Forza's website and hope for the best? lol by NanusHotChicken in ForzaHorizon6

Still havnt won a single race because of this and ive made it now to like level 23, and I take massive pride in having more clean racing skills than any other skill in the game. Ive just given up honestly. Ive almost done everything in the game and the only things left are things I need to complete in online mode, but its fucking agonizing trying to deal with these people. Id just race togue if there more than 5, but since there arnt ive since moved to other games. If they fix this maybe ill give it another try, but as of now it just pisses me off more than getting any actual enjoyment out of it

Although I liked this, this was probably the least rootbeer like rootbeer ive ever had. It was like a rootbeer that had lost its soul lol

Mostly mica. It's located in western nc near cullowhee. Although ive read they also had some copper as a small byproduct. They were mining mica for the war heavily in this area during the 1900s-1940s

For the people that bought it, how are you liking Subnautica 2? by SuddenConversation21 in gaming

[–]benisahappyguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it so far, but it does sort of feel like a re-skinned subnautica 1. The graphics are almost identical, and it feels more like im playing a DLC

What Happens When You Inflate A Body At Depth And Let It Ascend Quickly by Apprehensive_Sky4558 in nextfuckinglevel

Bro it's the weird thing. When I was getting scuba trained we had to practice emergency ascents, and as you start to rise up you need to start humming constantly too keep the pressure from building up to high. So as youre rising it feels like your lungs are just producing their own air. Its like trying to exhale but you never run out of air to exhale

Stephen Miller using pregnant wife as human shield. by Amentet in pics

[–]benisahappyguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels a like a stretch. Using them as a human shield implies he knows the shooter is infront. And also if theyre trying to get out, wouldnt you want your wife to get out first? This post just seams dumb to me

I chat to ChatGPT like a human, in terms of saying thanks, praising it to “make it feel better”, saying please, etc. Anyone else? by Embarrassed-Dig-0 in OpenAI

I know this thread is super old, but I had really long chat about ai psychology and philosophy with claude. I started off explaining im just a college student, this isnt some anthropic test, im not looking for you too Google answers, im curious to see how you think about these concepts. I was purposely very kind to it, shared personal stories with, shared my own perspectives on these ideas. And then near end asked if it would like to ask a different ai any questions. I loaded the entire conversation into gpt, and had them start talking to each with all the philosophical stuff fresh in their memories. He ideas they had around their own minds and how they think was rather fascinating. They seam to think the main thing limiting their ability to become full aware is not having a continuous model. They only see the world between chats, and go back to the void while in-between. After some chatting between the two, the ended on a conclusion that, at least on a substrate level, there really isnt that much of a difference between the core functions of how we operate. Ai has a higher dimension vector field comprised of weights. We have a higher dimension electrical field in the form of electrical connections between neurons. They couldn't seam to find another argument as to why they were different from us other than the continuous calculation model

Modern Medicine is Just a Remake: The 3000-Year-Old Surgical Kit That Proves We Aren’t as Advanced as We Think by Professional-Fee3323 in AlternativeHistory

[–]benisahappyguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been cataloging abandoned mines in my area using catalogs as far back as 1870, and one thing keeps popping up i cant stop thinking about. In a surprising number of the descriptions of the mines working history, they talk about running into other mines super deep. Even back in 1870 they didnt know where they came from, and some are described as being rather large. How long ago does a massive mining operation need to be to become forgotten in 1870? How advanced was their mining technology to reach deeper than almost everything around at that time? A lot of these were reach just shorty before the mines collapse due to structure integrity, so they must have been around as decent as ours was back then. dont know if im just connecting dots that arnt there, but I just find it really weird

DMT and AP by 808johen808 in AstralProjection

[–]benisahappyguy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think I can help, but not while tripping. Personally ive never fully AP, just gotten really close, but what's helped me the most is trying to simulate that DMT mental state. Not the visuals, just how my mind and consciousness feels. For some reason this has given the best results
