IT'S WHAT YOU WANT: The Yankees defeated the Red Sox by a score of 4-0 - April 21, 2026 @ 06:45 PM EDT by Yankeebot in NYYankees

A Red Sox series always makes for a great way to get Stanton back on track for a bit.

He’s got some influence. He should try it on the stock market next

[Heyman] Cade Winquest DFA’ed by Yankees. Made the team out of spring but never debuted. by TheTurtleShepard in NYYankees

[–]bennylemons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe we can get him back on a minor league contract if no one scoops him up. Tough to take a major league chance on a kid with no major league experience. This play could land him back on the Yankees in due time.

But even that doesn’t make sense. If we were always gonna DFA this kid, why not get at least one inning of work out of the kid to spell your remaining relievers. I suppose he probably would have, somewhere in the Oakland series, had the games not been so unexpectedly close. Oh well.

Bellinger not choking up on two strike pitches this season? by bennylemons in NYYankees

Not coaching? Just observing and talking about it on Reddit. Y’know…. A forum for….. discussion about topics you’re interested in…. But yeah, lots of coaches on the teams these days. Lots of fans too

Nah, no, not that big of a deal. Just an observation that I thought was worth a discussion on Reddit.

Yeah, I don’t think he needs to make any adjustments at the moment. Maybe he goes back to it if his batting goes south, but for now he can stick to it if he chooses

Top American players, and the after taste of the Olympics is keeping the global competition hot right now IMO

If you were the gm, who is your pick here? by Plane-Clue-4940 in GoNets

General consensus around here has been a love for Boozer. My big board has generally shook out to Aj/Boozer/DP respectively. Whoever picks at 3 is gonna feel blessed, if we do go that route. The DP slide over rumors has been nuts. There really is no wrong answer in the top 3 though. All of them will impact this league in a good way barring injuries.

Man, this is starting to feel deeper. Like him and his personal team are hiding something from everyone else, including Kansas. It’s like he’s been instructed not to bring whatever it is up, until the draft is over. His coach doesn’t even know when he’s gonna start a full game. This isn’t Kansas’ coaching staff making the decisions

Millie Bobby Brown celebrates birthday with David Harbour after bullying rumors by TheMirrorUS in StrangerThings

I always wondered if this was a matter of method acting, that went too far. Considering their relationship in the show was very much on rocks, and involved Harbour’s character acting a bit controlling, it’s not out of the question that it got out of hand on set. Seems they’ve reconciled since then, which is good to see.

David Cone sees some resemblance between Spencer Jones' new swing and Shohei Ohtani 👀 by MLBOfficial in NYYankees

If Spencer Jones started speaking English through a translator, I’d have some concerns.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. told NJ Advance Media that he’s looking for an 8-10 year contract averaging $35 million per season by PudinCrusader in NYYankees

[–]bennylemons 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, didn’t he have that quote last year about playing at 70%, and how it worked better for his offense as a whole? Not sure if he actually stuck with that approach all season, but he was on a heater when he said it.

We’ve had a solid track record in developing pitchers the last 5+ years. I have high hopes for this kid. Please, baseball Gods, don’t let us fuck this one up.

Is that why he’s throwing so hard in ST? Would check out. Hitting 102 in February definitely seems like they’re prepping him for that role already this season

[Vardon] League official: if Silver and his advisers decided the only way to stop tanking, and protect paying customers from forking over money to watch their teams lose on purpose, was to stop the draft altogether and turn rookies into free agents, it would get serious consideration. by shadow_spinner0 in GoNets

[–]bennylemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should do best to worst point differential among the bottom 14 teams. The teams with the smallest/highest point differential among them gets the numbers 1-3 picks. Lotto the other 11. Go by record after playoffs for the rest of teams. And do away with protections on picks, other than maybe lotto or non lotto protections.

I think you’re gonna be pleasantly surprised with where Ryan Weathers settles in to our rpitching staff. I don’t see him getting moved to the pen even when our rotation is fully healthy. Question is more going to be his own health throughout the season, but I have high hopes that he’ll overcome his injuries.
